EXCELLENT POST!I will DEFINITELY use atleast three of these :D

And a little paladining here:Greater Blessing on left click, Regular blessing on right click#showtooltip/cast Greater Blessing of ...; Blessing of ...Where ... is the blessing you want to use.Seal + Attacking spell#showtooltip/cast Seal of ...; Shield of RighteousnessWill cast whichever Seal you want if not in combat, or if in combat but targetting yourself/friendly unit, or if you hold Shift down. Will cast Shield of Rihgteousness if in combat and targetting an enemy. Can replace SoR with any spell (HotR, DS, CS, etc).
Very nice! I will use at least one of these now. Keep up the great work on the blog Wowhead!
My favorite macro:#showtooltip Frostbolt/run SetCVar("Sound_EnableSFX","0")/cast Icy Veins/cast 13/use 14/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()/run SetCVar("Sound_EnableSFX","1")/cast FrostboltIt will try to cast Icy Veins and pop both trinkets, then cast frostbolt. You can replace Icy Veins and Frostbolt with whatever you like. The coolest part are the /run and /script commands, they suppress the error output (sound and on-screen) when either icy veins or either trinket is on cooldown.Edit to add my second-favorite (frost mage specific) macro:#showtooltip/stopcasting/cancelaura Ice block/cast Ice Block/cast Cold SnapIt does several things:Stops whatever you are casting to iceblock.Removes iceblock if you're still in it.Casts Cold Snap if iceblock is on cooldown.
My main is a warlock. Please mind my spelling, I don't have the macro's in front of me at the moment.Fire Spells:#showtooltip/cast Immolate;/cast Searing Pain;/cast Rain of Fire;/cast Incinerate;Stones:#showtooltip/cast Soulstone;/cast Healthstone;/cast Spellstone;/cast Firestone;Summons: (covers most of them -- the ones I use most)#showtooltip/cast Summon Felguard(Summon);/cast Summon Imp(Summon);/cast Summon Voidwalker(Summon);/cast Summon Felhunter(Summon);Buffs:#showtooltip/cast Felarmor;/cast Unending Breath;/cast Detect Invisibility;/cast Soul Link; When I'm Affliction -- Grind:#showtooltip/castsequence reset=22 Unstable Affliction, Haunt, Curse of Agony, Immolate, Fear;Lots of the same ideas here can be used for virtually any other class, esepcially the ones, because you can condense a lot of related spells into one button. These helped my shaman immensely, ironically, I find they don't work well on melee heavy classes -- at least, they're less useful to me.One I just put together earlier today, when I find I grab too much aggro, I use this:Cry for help: (I have Prat 3.0 installed with the shortcuts module enabled for this to work right)#showtooltip/s Help! %tn is attacking me!/p Help! %tn (%thp) is attacking me! I have %hp% health, I don't know how much longer I can hold out! Attempting to cast SoulShatter!/cast Soulshatter; This speaks to anyone in range, and tells my party (optionally raid, if you change /p to /raid) if I pull aggro and want to try and drop down. Usually soulshatter does it, but it helps to let the main/off tank know that I may flatline seconds from now.
My favorites currently are three-four actions on one button (prior to that I’ve used 3 action bars with shift- and alt- mappings on them). They’ve already being mentioned here few times, but here’s how you write it even shorter:For my “zero” button:/use basic mount; flying mount; HearthstoneLatter is obviously same as . And since we’re only /use-ing items here, they can be written in one line. And here’s my favorite, for “~” button:/cast Shoot/petattack /cast Attack That’s warlock-ish style, but any of my other class alts uses it with some of his most used spells…
/cast heroism/say Fe Fi Fo Fum
Also found Bindpad to be extremely helpful for saving room on the action bar. It lets you make macros that do not have to be on the action bar.Example, i have my mount macro bound to the ` key, but don't need to have it posted anywhere. Same for my warriors Battle (z), Zerker (x) and Defensive (g) stance. All do not actually need an icon, allowing for a more minimalist UI.
For those classes that operate on stance systems - /cast AbilityY; FormXExample - /cast Growl; Dire Bear FormIt serves as a "button masher" approach to using Growl in this situation, even when you're not in Bear Form to begin with. I use these kinds of macros all over on my Warrior/Druid, and if my DK gets high enough, on him too.
If you can tell you're about to die and can't do anything about it (eg, your raid is wiping), save a few gold by activating this "bail" macro that unequips your weapons, preventing them from suffering the 10% durability loss:/run PickupInventoryItem(16) PutItemInBackpack()/run PickupInventoryItem(17) PutItemInBackpack()/run PickupInventoryItem(18) PutItemInBackpack()Just make sure to equip them again when you rez up ;)
That item selling macro is hot. I had an addon that did that, but it stopped working in 3.0.Thanks a lot!
#showtooltip/cast Hunter's Mark/petattackHunter uber macro. Simple, old, but I don't know what to do without it.
I replaced the stock "Attack" button (bar 1, slot 1) with this macro which will automatically fish or attack depending on the items I have equipped:#show Attack/cast Fishing ; AttackI find this one useful for fishing as well. It lets me use the space bar to "click" the bobber once I catch something:/run df = DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME; key1 = GetBindingKey("JUMP"); if (key1== "SPACE") then SetBinding("SPACE","TURNORACTION"); df:AddMessage("You are now a man of action.") else SetBinding("SPACE", "JUMP"); df:AddMessage("Your legs are no longer broken.") end(Unbind the NUMPAD0 "Jump" action manually before using.)I also tend to make the mouse wheel button a jack-of-all-trades. My death knight uses this:/cast Acherus Deathcharger ; Death Strike/dismount So, mount up or dismount, or death strike if I'm in combat. My rogue uses one to mount, vanish, or stealth; my priest uses another to mount (flying or ground, depending on modifier) or Shadowmeld. Also, sometimes I shift-link friends' tradeskills into a macro so I can view their craftable items whenever I want. I can usually fit just one to a macro.
Once again, no macro in front of me so I apologise for error;#showtooltip blade flurry/use 14/castsequence reset=10 blade flurry, fan of knives, killing spree,<my gloves for my engineer +haste>Now i just sit back and spam "q" (ironic?) to blade flurry, mass aoe silence (talented), which makes everyone come visit my rogue's new maces, and then unleash a multi-target Killing Spree, which ends with some blade flurry left, which is why I pop my glove haste, to finish cleaning up the mess. The result is typically a Paladin or Mage style of a collection of bodies.
Gnomish Mage Sheep-o-mat 8000(++)#showtooltip Polymorph/clearfocus /focus /cast Polymorph(Rank 1: Turtle)/clearfocus What it does:Locks your target in your focus and polymorphs it. On break, just hit the macro again to resheep. Clear your target and hit the macro again to clear the focus, or target another mob, to refresh your focus. Alternatively, rightclick the macro to clear focus. (edit the bold text to a polymorph spell of your choice). This enables you to control your sheeped mob while targeting another without (searching and) switching target to resheep.
I'm a shadowpriest and have pretty much all my basic spells macro'd to a friend/enemy target selection. If I target an enemy, it will cast a hostile spell; if I target a friend, it will cast a heal. E.g.:/cast Flash Heal; Mind Blast/cast Renew; Shadow Word: Painetc..This allows me to have about 7 basic keybinds for 14 spells, especially if you configure your WoW to automatically remove shadowform when you cast a holy spell.
Random vanity pet:/run CallCompanion("CRITTER", random(GetNumCompanions("CRITTER") ) ) Not really as useful as most, but it's fun. I'll sometimes bind it to my Frostbolt key to see the reactions of others.
