I hope these feats will also give achievements as I transmog my bulky tankadin artifact to something smaller and nicer and don't care about the appearances :)
If the encounter is as difficult as they say, I might need to dust off the ol' Aegisjalmur, the Armguards of Awe...
Please give MM a gun PLS PLS PLS
Wow, all three of those look great! I saw the renders on here before this, of course, but they look much better in these screenshots. If the engine was able, it would be pretty cool to have a stabbing motion for those Rapiers.
So I noticed it's not been exactly specific but does anyone know if unlocking the base challenge appearance on one Artifact Weapon unlocks the appearances for your other weapons or is it like the Hidden Appearances where you need to do each one individually? And if it is individually does that mean you get one shot at each weapon or one shot in total and then have to shell out Nethershards to take a crack at the others?Though considering it is meant to be an Order Hall continuation, Artifact wide unlock seems most likely.
Farming nethershards to make attempts at the challenge in addition to a three day window (followed by however long it takes to rebuild the mage tower) sounds annoying, to be honest. I want to be challenged by the challenge, not by how much currency I can farm. (Disclaimer: I don't know how much the challenge costs, nor how much the mage tower costs.)
They've already said that you will need to do the challenge on each spec get that specs weapon. Not sure if, like hidden, you only need to do the variation unlocks once but I would think that's reasonable.
Can someone confirm or correct my point? I recall, a long while ago, that this section was foretold to be the challenging solo PVE section of the appearances. From what it looks like, the only solo PVE one is the base skin, while the others involve raiding and PVP. I do not have a problem with raiding, but I would like to know if anyone else heard the same hearsay that I did.
to call the priest ones inspired by benediciton/anathema is realy just kicking priests where it hurts, the resemblance stops at them both being staffs :( atleast with hunters you can call it inspiration.
Sooooo what happens when your region decides not to build the mage tower? Will there be enough people trying to build something else that we will just be screwed waiting for a chance every now and then? Also, I know I am in the minority, but I'm sad about the difficulty. Probably because I have a problem, and play almost every class :(
I wish the BM gun were more inline with the survival and MM weapons. I want nature and flower stuff. Not some sort of weird snake eating my gun.
Did they ever specify if the challenge scales with your gear (like proving grounds), or if it becomes progressively easier with better gear?I remember the Green Fire Kanrethad fight being REALLY hard with heroic dungeon gear, still really hard for a scrub like me at ilvl 511 and completely laughable in patch 5.4 at ilvl 560+. Basically, at higher gear levels some of the mechanics would be trivialized and some of the mechanics you wouldn't even see (because you could kill Kanrethad before they happened.)If that's the case I suspect most people hitting a wall will just wait until 7.3 or even 7.4 to get the challenge appearance.
As a blood DK I'm quite interested in what they consider to be challenging.
