I have a question. Will class mounts be account wide for alts of the same class?
Of course the color I want for my hunter mount is on a spec I barely play. >.<
Do the recolors and class mounts count for the 300 mount achievement?
"Each class will get a special quest/scenario for their mount after unlocking Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part Two..."Does this mean after unlocking that achievement we can alt-hop and do the questlines in rapid succession, or do we have to complete the whole Broken Shore chain and do other stuff before we can do each class's mount scenario?
A completionist's grave!Previous expansions I have max'ed all characters and their skills - seriously doubt it will be possible in legion, even though I have more time than before.
As beeing sort of a pet collector - wtf? that will be quite some pets that are virtually unobtainable. :-(
If I max out my elemental weapon as an enhancement main, will I be able to buy the firey tornado mount?
Hm, if they count for mount achievements, this makes Paladins practically required for getting mounts. With 2 old class mounts, another from Argent Tournament, and 3 more than many other classes in 7.2, brings them several mounts ahead of any other class. I like that not every class is the same and offer some different rewards, but forcing some classes to use spec-specific colors, while others get multiple mounts to pick from might be a little overboard. Druid, warrior, shaman, priest, monk and mage each have 0 mounts and get 1, a total of 1 mountDemon Hunters have 1 and get another for a total of 2Death knights have 2, get 1, total of 3Hunters have ever 0, get 3. Also a total of 3Rogues have 0 and get 4, total of 4Warlocks have 2, gets 3 for a total of 5And lastly Paladins have 3 already and get 4 new mounts taking the top spot with 7 class mountsI normally wouldn't care much about achievements, especially when it can be completed on any class, but many (some of my friends included) collect mounts very avidly to get those achievements, to the point of being a major factor in the content they choose. Blizzard knows this as well with them additing some very dull worgen mounts just to balance the scales in Cata. And when you are getting to the very hard to get mounts, a difference in 6 mounts for your class alone is a lot
Such grind is insane, in an expansion so alt unfrendly, even witch catch up mechanics, that doesn't make sense to have all classes maxed up for getting cosmetics that impact so much on collection completionist (or also casuals). Ok to not have tints unlocked account wide but maxing a trait it's lot of stuff, doing by 3 and repeat for 12, calculate the AP needed and the time for it, not even in two expansions where all the artifact stuff will be threwn to garbage will be possible to get the 'complementary' rewards such as toys or pets (what warlocks get?) not counting the people that probably not even have all classes at 110. It's not only a barrier for many casual players but also for all other people that have a real life before games even if it plays a lot and don't consider sleep hours. Simply badly concived. Ok to get a reward after such effort but doesn't mean all the cake need to be prize, slices can be eaten also before, like being able to purchase not maybe the mount tints but pets or toys after have unlocked class mount.
I used to be a pet collector, I looked at the stuff needed to be done in legion for pets with the pvp grinds. And said hell no. And seeing this only justifies my thought in that any form of completionism is just impossible now. Though I got lord of the reins early in legion.
