Great, I was really annoyed when I had Kirin Tor emissary and 1-3 Kirin Tor WQs
They are unusually fixated with these kirin tor wqs or more like to the point of obsession already. Still doesn't remove my dislike on the *cough* like the wind *cough WQ. Must be their idea of rent fee for using Dalaran as our home base for this xpac or something
I have 12 max level toons and do a ton of WQs, including Kirin Tor. But I skip all of the 'Like the Wind' quests - they're awful and need massive simplification. Who has the time to be made that stressed?
You know Kirin Tor World Quests aren't mandatory. They're there simply for a variety of different World Quests. If you can't do them because you have little skill and patience then don't bother complaining about them.
Well that Q&A should prove to be a largely skippable one. Yay?
Now let's just hope that 2 of the "at least 4 Kirin Tor quests available" aren't "Like The Wind"!
To be completely honest, the "like the wind" quests take a bit of undeserved flak - while I agree people shouldn't be forced to go for them due to sheer lack of anything else to complete Emissary, they are rather simple and quick after you go for a couple trial runs to understand the mechanics involved. I did find a couple that, for jumping puzzle haters, are a tad too intricate in how you have a few steps with really tricky timing that is too punishing for people with latency issues, but nothing insurmountable IMO.
Like The Wind is my favourite WQ. It has a nice difficulty setting, unlike the other faceroll WQs.
The problem with the "Like the Wind" quests is that I can do them fine if my latency/lag is low, but I get a second or so more of lag they are nearly impossible to do, and many players deal with lag like that or worse daily so if I was them, I'd be mad about feeling forced to have to do those quests too.
On a side note, I'm curious why "Midterm: Rune Aptitude" in the Hall of Arcane Learning isn't a KT quest. They are, after all, mages.
As a DH I have no problem with those quest. But I can see how they may be "inconvenient" for somebody
Kirin tor WQ ? im most interested in knowing if they will fix Fishing 'Round the Isles
These "Jump" quests sort of suck a lot of you don't have quick reaction time. While they did make it better for those with low bandwidth connections it's still bad.Same thing I've said on each of these quests on Wowhead. They need a VIDEO or an example of HOW to do the quest. You shouldn't have to visit a 3rd Party website to watch a video. The NPC gives you crap instructions and that should be mitigated. Each of these Wind quests needs some tweaks on positioning to make it more workable. A couple of them require immediate turn this way or that way and others require you to step back or step to edge and jump at certain times.Bottom line: The Wind quests need work and I'll avoid them when possible myself as I hate them. Almost at much as Withered Quests as a Healer (Which I won't do either).
The "Like the Wind" quests now have a slowfall effect, that I found helps quite a bit on getting the timing right (I play with 350-400 ms latency). So if you're like me and tried the quests when they came out and haven't tried them since, do check them out again!
There must something that I'm missing here. I can do all of the "Like the Wind" WQs with little to no problem. Sure, it usually takes a few tries to get them completed, but I enjoy that challenge.
I'd like to see a much smaller queue time for dungeons. 30 mins if you are lucky and that's during peak gaming hours is ridiculous. The problem stems from an overabundance of dps and not enough tanks/healers imhoMaybe tanks needs to be given extra incentives to tank?
