On Blood of Sageras. That's fine. But dual gatherers are still SOL.
Why can't they just utilize BOA more. I get it if they don't want them to be on the AH or something, but I can only play one toon at a time so why should it matter which one gets a crafting item when I run a dungeon or gather my mats. It was one thing in WoD when spirits were bop since the actual craft mats are buyable and mailable to my crafters so I was able to use up spare spirits on my alts easily enough. It's not so much that my main won't get enough especially if they are boosting the drops in instances, but what am I gonna bother to do with the spares my alts get I only need so many crafters so my alts end up taking gathering professions.
Blood of Sargeras really needs to be BoA. This is getting a bit silly to be honest.
It almost seems as though they didn't really think about people with dual crafting and dual gathering profs, and instead they just assumed people would have one crafting and one gathering prof. The problem is that in WoD, their approach to gathering profs via the mine and herb garden made gathering profs essentially redundant. So lots of people dropped their gathering prof and went with dual crafting. I know I have very few toons with a gathering prof, as I switched most of them to dual crafting. Now with Legion, the pendulum is swinging completely to the other side, with gathering profs almost being essential, due to Blood of Sargeras being BoP.They really need to take a look at how that sort of change from one expansion to the next is just whipsawing the players and the resulting negative impact it will have. Yet their responses, both in that interview above and in the announced changes to the beta, shows that they still see this as a tuning problem, but it isn't - they are still essentially ignoring dual crafters and dual gatherers. While some tuning can help the former, the latter still remain screwed with Blood of Sargeras being BoP.Why they just don't do the obvious and make it BoA instead, since that can significantly address the problem for all types of prof selections, is really becoming quite baffling.
Altaholics like myself would appreciate Blood to be BOA. I play all my 11 toons as a main not just a single one so that would make sense. Doubt it will happen though as i think i am in the minority and dont complain loud enough.
Love how they don't really answer the question regarding why Blood is still BoP. They skate around it and instead talk about the world quest system. I knew they'd spin the questions to suit themselves again. BoP is a horrible way to run it. Dual gatherers will have more blood than they could ever use, and dual crafters once again get very very little. Even with Bloods dropping from dungeons and world quests, they won't be getting enough to craft things very often (just look at WoD Bloods with their 6-per-day limit). Why not just make them BoA - solves the problem of farmers selling them, and it means that characters with dual crafting don't get completely screwed. The worst part is they brought this on themselves. With the vast number of mats you got from your garrisons and making gathering useless in WoD many players dropped their gathering profession. Now those players, or those who used to rely on alts to farm materials (like myself who has several alts with dual gathering) are being told "Sorry, you'll want a gathering profession if you want to craft anything at a fast rate". I'm still disappointed that Inscription will be virtually useless (oh yay, 1000 versatility against 1 boss a week). Maybe I'll just drop that and pick up Herbalism. The ONLY saving grace, is that (from what I've seen) most recipes will only require a few Bloods to craft (2-5) the 805 blues. That said, upgrading those items may increase the cost significantly.
Absolutely should be BoA. People would feel they have to unlearn one profession to pair something with a gathering profession so the bloods aren't worthless. This is ridiculous for dual gatherers.
I have to agree this is getting very stupid and BLIZZ needs to wake up please. BoS should be bind to account BoA. PERIOD. Players have been encouraged to play different styles they like the most. NOW you are going to force people to change (Like in Garrisons you had to get Building X, Y and Z) how they play the game they enjoy in order to be able to competitive. My two characters are one is dual crafting (ENCH/TAILOR) and one is dual gathering (HERB/MINE) and to be frank I don't want to relevel either of them. On top of it you are sort of screwed as ENCH or TAILOR without a gathering skill.
I have each profession maxed on various chars and few more fresh chars which don't have professions picked yet. Few chars already have either dual-craft or dual-gathering. If Blood will be BoP it would mean I'll have to pick professions which are in the end completely useless to me.Personally I consider it so poor design that it crosses to BUG realm and if it remains BoP I'm prepared to start reporting it as BUG.BoA would be solution which would make most sense - it keeps main Blizz intent and removes drawbacks
I pray they change the BoS issue. BoA would be fine. I had dropped gathering on most of my toons long before WoD because, really, why on earth would you need more than one of each gathering profession? Even if I farmed a lot (I usually buy mats I need), there's no benefit to having more than one character who can herb/mine/skin per server. There are benefits to having more than one of certain professions, though (alchemy and engineering specializations, being able to make more darkmoon cards from scribes, etc). I literally can't change up my system now. I have characters with recipes that are unobtainable now. If I were to drop those professions, those recipes would be gone forever. It's bad enough that we have to level up to 110 before we can fully craft on alts. This blood thing makes things even worse. It makes me wonder if I'll even bother to do professions other than to continue to sell to the crafted transmog market with old stuff.
ur dual crafting choice is moot. neither enchanting or tailoring have a gathering proff tied specifically to them.
They simply didn't asnwer the question.Typical.Blizzard is doing the same thing for quite a few years now and the thing is: YOU GONNA PLAY THE WAY WE'D LIKE YOU TO PLAY AND YOU GONNA LIKE IT!
Blizz, you're really dissapointing me, and I'm pretty sure that when you keep those bloods BoP, I'm going to cancel my subscription. I don't know what YOU do all day, but I have to work 8 hours a day, and drive 2 hours to go to work and get back home. if I can recall, there's 24hours a day and I'd like my 8 hours sleep. I DON'T HAVE TIME TO FARM YOUR STUPID BLOODS. I'm a goblin, and only a goblin. I don't have time to raid, don't have time to do dungeons, don't have time to do quests all day every day, and I'm certainly not interested in spending my very short free time in farming !@#$ to actually craft something. I want to craft stuff, because I like that, actually I LOVE it. And you guys are taking away that 1 single thing I love most in WoW.On top of that, I only have each gathering profession once (cause y'know, I can only farm on 1 char at a time...), and so many of my alts don't have a gathering profession (ench/tail). Let alone the stupidity of the Alchemy transmute with Herbalism combo. What's the use in that?As many (really, MANY), has mentioned before, make it BoA, everybody happy. Stop ignoring the question answer it already!
I propose making the reagent bank shared across all your same factions characters on a realm.
As many others have already said, it should be BoA not BoP!
Other games fix this simply by making all gathering professions available to every toon. I thought with the mine and herb garden that they were WoW's answer to that system, but alas here we are reverting back and screwing players over. Either make mining, herbing, and skinning baseline for all toons or make the bloods BoA. Anything else screws over your players.
I dont know why blizz keeps making these crafting mats BoP. This is not the way we want to play the game. If the AH worked differently, then yes, BoP mats would be fine, but the AH really does suck for crafted items.
