a good interview but not to much that we havent heard before i think.
Totally useless,so if you want to be competative in pvp you have to be alli. What a crock .
Did somebody ask if they will ever touch Wintergrasp or Tol Barad again? There's more life in a cemetery than those.
So basically what I am hearing is that PVE and PVP will never be compatible so both will constantly be messed with because of the other, racial differences are something they only look at once every few years rather than fix as an actual immediate issue, and they will continue to take away from classes (specifically casters) rather than actually balance or allow the player to decide whats best to use. Way to go Blizz, keeping to your status quo.
They have an option for balancing PVP and PVE separately (via skills acting differently accordingly) and they just won't take it. Yes it's more complicated, but it means nerfs to a class in PVP won't screw up their PVE DPS.
every real question was dodgedtoo many irrelevant questionsaka typical Blizzard Q/Ato summ this up - according to Holinka - everything is "working as intendet"- Ashran is awesome and you should be greatful to us for it to the grave- Hail Ashran! - no new PvP content- no ballance for PvP- Botting is not that big issue in PvP and "we working on it" (aka forget about it - never gonna be fixed - so Bot away as much you like)Actually it's just sadi do understand if we had same issues in Free to Play game, but not in this game where company makes huge revenues and nothing to just FIX it and do i dare to say, improve it?
Literally just pile of garbage. Real questions are avoided. "Ashran is awesome. blah-blah-blah, human racial not an issue, blah-blah, ashran is awesome, you don't need more battlegrounds, everything is awesome"They should seriously fire this idiot. He's a cancer ofPvP.
Not only Alli dominating all the boards, but how can they see human racial not being op? Maybe they should let humans go ahead and be druids and shaman and get it over with.
Pretty awful interview, nothing of real importance was discussed properly. PR gone wrong.
a lot of softball questions! and Holinka will still not admit they messed up big time with Ashram.
Been playing wow since the first month or so. Love PvP'ing in randoms more than any other aspect of the game.Had high hopes for Ashran, not so much anymore though.
They have enough work to do in terms of PvP balance. Many things are way off, broken. Some classes/specs being very bad or very strong. Even CCs aside, some aspects of PvP in class unbalance is ridiculous and the saddest part is that for start, it's easy to fix them (to some degree) without much testing yet they don't do it.Where were the times when WoW received updates and more meaningful and crucial ones faster. Hotfixes were a thing and they provided constant update to game. I've played WoD beta and not much has changed upon release in some terms which was disappointing.I get their idea of ability pruning, but why on top of that was there need to increase HP like 3 times and also lower crit bonus dmg from 200% to 150%? People can feel too tanky sometimes which is bad. They really need to sort these things out cause PvP can feel slow and actually this "tanky mode" can give player to much "passive safety".I'm pretty sure specific playerbase would know what to do to start balancing PvP instantly. Why Blizzard doesn't patch things little by little and change them over and over by need on live servers with updates weekly or so? It won't break the game. For some things there is not need for detailed internal testing or long PTRs for just some meaningful updates.Either they slack/don't test good or enough and specific scenario tests.Whatever it is, it's not good enough and it needs to be changed. Who ever agreed that some things should go live and steel sticks to that after quite some time is terrible.PvP team needs a change, some people need to be fired cause I'm questioning who and how are they playing and testing the game?
"We didn't hit the mark with Ashran. We didn't deliver something people were happy with "and it keeps me up at night" - we're looking at Ashran to improve it."You people whining about him talking that Ashran is "great" seem not to even read anything...
The systems in place in ashran are really good. I would say it was a fun experience before CP were introduced into it(before the season started). The problem is the reward structure. There is no benefit to fighting the opposing faction, no benefit to defending at all. Why should I try and defend the base if there's literally no reason to? They completely missed the mark on how the player's efforts are rewarded. Which wouldn't be too bad but every fix they implement makes it worse.
I like the response to "why not just completely split PVP and PVE if even you admit trying to fix one for the other just breaks both". 'Because we don't want to.'
There used to be more people who would play WG and TB back when there was a queue button for them; I asked why they were taken out and if they'd be brought back but the question was never answered.I feel like Holinka wants to forget stuff that was there before he was...
Only few useful answers rly.But they didn't answer anything about balance issues between classes... which is the biggest problem right now in PvP.Also how can you be happy with ability prune ... some classes got completely decimated, while others lost like 1-2 spells ... and currently the most untouched classes are performing the best, which are mostly melee.
A one hour interview. That's it?It took me longer to prepare for work than it did for this live session. Needed to be longer, address more questions, really dig into the grit of the player base.... and what idiot asked about class balance at lower levels? Did he read the millions of forum responses before him?
