THANK YOU SO MUCH. I was trying to keep track of this all on my own, should have known Wowhead would do it for me ^_^
On my favorite list of sites from now on :D
Awesome! I was using the search to find this for myself, but having this table is so much better. It would be great if you could add the zone levels to the unique pet table, too, then pet trainers with lower-level pets know where to start!P.S. Qiraji Guardling is missing from the table, only available during Summer.
I have a few pet battle articles in mind--covering the leveling flow, unique models, etc. Just don't want to overwhelm everyone in one mega-article :)
I love you!
There needs to be more Humanoid Pets, Hard enough as is trying to Level these Undead that are only strong against them.
And this is why wowhead is my homepage..great job as always.
Thank you looks great. keep more coming.
They seriously need to put in more undead, magic and humanoids. For example, why there is only one undead in the whole of Northrend?
WarcraftPets.com has a pets-by-zone listing that includes the levels of the pets, and clicking a pet will bring you to the pet's page, which has most if not all of known information about a pet (including the special conditions for certain pets, like "can only be found in rainstorms"). Also, it's warcraftpets, and so you can track your collection easily there. While not a map, it was pretty cool to filter by my "wanted" only pets.
This is awesome, thanks a lot :D
first off, thank you for the guide, this will certainly help. I am kind of curious, and havnt found any info on it.. but when taming pets in the wild; are you unable to capture a pet whos level exceeds the maximum level of your current pets? i have twice in terrokar tamed a lvl 18 rare with my 3 lvl 17s, and when it capped, it too became lvl 17. this to me seems unfair.. or is it just a bug?
Very good guide. I was looking for something like this..thanks!If possible someone should do a guide on the Battle pet trainers too.
By far, the vast amount of wild pet's that you'll battle, are Critters and Beasts, which makes Beasts/Mechanical pets very good for pet leveling. Pets with a large amount of Beast abilities (Like the rare Crocolisks from the Shat Fishing Dailies) will do well too. I personally go with Gundrak Hatchling (Got mine from Satchel of Exotic Mysteries), Snarly (From Shat Fishing Dailies) and the Clockwork Gnome (From Archaeology), all are Rare Quality, and they clean house with just about everything i encounter. When i want to level a non Beast/Mechanical pet, i just set it as my first pet, let it get a hit or two in on a much higher level opponent, then switch to my main pets to kill it, and the lower level pet will gain alot of exp.Sad to see though that the vast amount of Humanoid pets, can only be gotten from 1 time events that'll never happen again. Really makes Undead pets not all that useful unfortunately.
It'd be great if you could do a pet battles guide at some point. I want to know what the best pets are and what combo I should use. :D
That's quite a list. It'll certainly help when it comes to catching them all.
Thank you! It's like you read my mind - you're always writing the guides I'm searching for.
I recommend 4 addons that can help you for Pet combats :
How about a list of pets that you can aquire on certain times of the year. Like small guides each month?
I love all the coverage you guys have had for the pet stuff! the maps and lists are massively helpful! and i was just wishing for a list like this one where i could make sure i caught all the uniques while i was in an area. The only thing i would say that is still lacking in all the info is the addition of the pets levels to the data. Its all well and good to hunt down a unique in an area, but when you get there and find out their 6 levels above your pets, its a little disheartening! And its also a little hard to figure out where you should be going to level your pets, for example after i fishined the initial trainer quests my pets were level 11, and the new list of trainers were all way higher than that, but i had no idea where i shoudl go to level my pets! So I think adding pet levels (at least for the areas) would be the final nail in having a complete one stop shop for pet lists!
