Tol Barad and Wintergrasp ConcernsWe unfortunately didn’t identify some of the issues with these PvP zones because these areas didn’t see much activity during the beta testing period. An early bug allowed players from multiple realms to participate in Tol Barad and Wintergrasp battles, or quest in these zones in between battles; however, this has been addressed and these zones should never be coalesced. We’ll consider offering full CRZ functionality for these zones in a future patch when we can solve some of the logistical issues coalescing initially brought about.Stranglethorn Fishing ExtravaganzaIn the case of the weekly Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza, we also found that players from other realms were able to jump to a realm in a different time zone to get a head start on fishing, allowing them to win their home realm’s tournament as soon as it began. This isn’t fair for anyone and will require some new tech on our end to ensure the integrity of timed competitions. Unfortunately, this change will require a client-side patch, so we are disabling the fishing tournaments until we can deliver the fix for them in a future patch.Ignoring or Reporting a Player from Another RealmWe understand that players want to be able to ignore and report players from other realms, and we’re working to identify and correct any issues currently preventing this. We take harassment very seriously, and if another player is harassing you, you can submit a ticket so that we can investigate your report. Cross-Realm /who RequestsThis is something we’d like to do, and we’re looking into it.Realm “Hopping” by Changing Party LeadersWhile it might sound like fun to go exploring in other realms by changing party leaders, this was not intended, and allowed some players to take advantage of bosses such as the Darkmoon Rabbit and challenges such as the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza. As such, we’ve made a fix that will stop groups from being able to do this.Chat, Achievement, Skill SpamWe’re aware of chat, achievements, skills, and World Defense announcements being spammed in cross-realm zones and are working on a solution for this. We agree: it’s annoying.Found Other Bugs? Every bit of assistance you can offer us in tracking down bugs and squashing them would be invaluable. After reading this, if you’re experiencing any issues with CRZ that pretty clearly seem unintended, please provide us as much detail as possible on the Bug Report forum. If you’re curious as to what entails a “good” bug report, please read this simple, yet effective guide.
So ... will the Moon Guard Goldshire ERP crew need to hunt for crossrealms to hang out in?
I would love to know how it is possible for the toon I am playing to realm hop when it remains impossible to send heirlooms from realm to realm.
I really hate the dreden server at the moment. I'm over on nesingwary and we keep getting cross realmed with a bunch of various realms, most of which have been very nice and decent people. However, it seems whenever I have a problem with someone (node stealing, hateful comments, mob swiping, and just plain being a jerk) it's been that server. If it wasn't for those guys, I'd think the cross realm thing is fun. I had someone from boreantundra save my little lowbie when I got in trouble, and a few other people that I wouldn't have seen normally, being generally nice. I swear, a few bad apples spoils the bunch.
Clearly Blizzard wants to traumatize all RPers.
CRZ has become a gank fest. Nothing about it atm is making the game better or enjoyable. When you zone in levling an alt, you instantly die from 4+ full raids of Lv capped enemy players. Molten front is just a joke let alone Mt Hydral and Dark portal. I understand the resoning but it could use some tweeking to make this transform from a game killer to a nice feature. 1 Option could be making lv caps, It a zone designed for lv 80-82, make it that lv that is cross server, not 85's. I wouldnt mind being ganked and camped by toons mt own lv instead of raids of Lv capped. Anotehr option would be like Bg's are designed with Lv Brackets, and Lv capp is its own bracket. This way World PvP will still be there but allow other lower lv players enjoy the game as its ment to be
Honestly I am more than fine with CRZ in wintergrasp. Since Cata no one does that PVP anymore and I would love to be able to not be the only one in there for once while I am trying to get my wins for the achievements.
Hopefully they will add wildcards to the improved ignore list, or I will need a 9 million name long list.I understand there desire to have more players in zones. However, I don't play on some servers because -- well they are not nice people. Now you are going to force me to put up with them? Great. I also agree with the complaint of server personality problems. When you dump these players from all these realms together into a zone, none of them care about play-nice or being polite in the least. They do what they want, when they want. Apparently that is normally greifing other players. Congrats on trying to turn all of WoW into the social awesomeness that is LFD.
cross-realm zones are really awesome. Ahn'Quiraj EU is so empty and that makes zones feel alive again!
Well, here's what I'm doing.CRZ has ruined the game for me, so I'm going to stop playing until MoP hits. Then I will only play in MoP non-CRZ zones. Then, if MoP zones ever get CRZ, I will be unsubbing.Cheers.
I think the problem now is little to no accountability between realms. When someone was being an ass on your own server, you could report it to their guild master and the guild master or officer would tell them to stop giving their guild a bad name or leave. The rest of the server would find out about it and avoid that person. You'd run out of people willing to group with you or even be in the same zone as you, fairly quickly. You were able to deal with ninjas in groups, jerks in raids, etc. When they introduced cross server dungeons, we lost the ability to handle what people from other servers did and there was an influx of complete jerks ruining the system. They died out a little and now those kinds of jerks are few and far between. However, we could still deal with people who were being jerks out in the world. Sure you had gankers, campers and node stealers from cross faction, but again you could hop on an alt faction character and complain, so those were kind of few. Now, we've once again lost that ability and people are taking advantage of it, just like with dungeon finder. Unfortunately, we can't ignore them and lock them out from us as in a dungeon, but I have a feeling that just like the dungeon finder, eventually the jerks will die down and they'll get fewer. Just keep sending in those harassment reports.
/coughWeapon of choice.(Edit: Just don't download any lists. Manually add CRZs as you get to them)
Yeah yeah, blah blah blah blah blizzard... always blah blahCRZ Sucks , thats it, dont try to find excuses to make us swallow it....
I have said this before... I hate being verbose, because some others will just take things out-of-context, or nitpick, without adding any beneficial suggestions or information. Those of you that have seen my previous post elsewhere, I am going to have to eat some of my words... Now only 1/3 of my subscriptions remain canceled. My kids decided to start playing again after perculia's post"Please note that Pandaria zones will not have CRZ enabled when Mists of Pandaria is released, but players can group up cross-realm in Pandaria with Real ID or BattleTag friends. The Wandering Isle, the pandaren starting area, will also not have CRZ enabled at launch, though we’ll have multiple instances of this zone running as needed for each realm, in an attempt to prevent overcrowding."I am even considering of rejoining </gagging on my words>, but in the end I will probably cancel again once Blizzard change MoP zones to be part of CRZ.I have been playing since BC on very high populated PvP server, before its' decline, and there was nothing like what has been going on now in multiple zones at the same time. There are groups of organized thugs from multiple realms (not just one realm like before CRZ) causing grief to other players with no way to mount any reprisal against them, and they know it. Matter of fact Blizzard encourages this behavior as being part of "World PvP". I do not mind fighting other players one-on-one for resources (gathering nodes, rare spawns, quest items, ...); but having organized groups from multiple realms to systemically gank other players for no resource purpose is plain thuggery. Battlegrounds are the only place for organized PvPing, not world zones. Blizzard you multiplied the problem for low population server players, not a simple additive if it was just another realm was added. Some players have already pointed out many of the problems/flaws, made suggestions, and others have noted players from some realms have been respectful. I thank and bow to them all. Here are my own suggestions for PvPing in world zones...1) When one player attacks another player, both players lose all 3rd party buffs/HoTs/... and group/raid benefits. It's time for some one-on-one, let the fight begin.2) No one can assist either player in any way, period. No attacking/healing/bubbling/debuffs/cc/rooting/..., nothing.3) Once the last DoT on both players has expired and more than 10 seconds since the last damaging attack has occurred, either player can be helped and/or attacked.4) Gathering nodes should be able to be tagged, like mobs, so no one else can simply come and take/steal the node during the fight with another player and/or mobs. Once the fighting is done, if the player that originally tagged the node has died, the node is untagged and available to anyone.Blizzard, people who remain on low population servers do so willingly.Cross realm auction house would be very helpful for most players on most, if not all, servers and also drive the prices on commodities such as herbs, ore, skins, ... Granted people who play the AH to make gold will lose out, and there is the major on-going issue with gold sellers would benefit. "sigh" I understand gold sellers is the major hurdle. "double sigh"Granted CRZ has added the side benefit to a "minority" of players to play with their friends on other servers, but at a cost of forcing CRZ down everyone else's throat. Some other cross realms related stuff ...LFR has a similar issue with a small group from one realm joining the raid group just to sabotage the raid. Then the raid group has to throwout everyone from that realm, good unfortunately with the bad. Blizzard why don't you ban the account(s) of those players from joining LFR and LFD for 30 or more days. Let them play with their friends in there own realm for awhile. Repeat offenders should have their account(s) banned from joining LFR and LFD for 60 days, 90 days and then permanently.LFD is usually not a problem for me to work with other players from other language realms. Even thou I do not know their language, we are usually able to work together. The only problem that I have run into during LFD is where one player is a complete jerk (like a rogue intentionally pulling groups before the tank and healer is ready) and no one can boot the jerk for multiple minutes or longer (one time it was 2 hours for the rogue puller). That's ridiculous. If a player in the group leaves because no one cannot boot the jerk, that player is penalized with a time-out. There is a reason why a few players are booted multiple times. Sounds like the jerk needs the time-out. Again, let them play with their friends in there own realm.BTW, I am not to hot about the new looting system. I have been winning stuff that I do not need or want, and of coarse not winning what I need (oh well). I like to be able to pass on rolls for stuff that I do not need, or later give the item to someone else in the group. Yes, I have given armor tokens, weapons, and other stuff to other players for free. I guess "FREE" is a bad 4 letter word to some players. The new looting system does not allow for passing or trading. At least allow the stuff to be trade-able again for a period of time.I play WoW to enjoy the experience and working with others. I can live with others making mistakes and/or not able to pull their own weight, but my breaking point is when they are not willing to learn/corporate and just flap their gums. I no patience with jerks that intentionally cause problems, or pick fights multiple-on-one because they are to much of a "/CHICKEN" going one-on-one.Anyone that picks on another player that's of a lower level is a "/CHICKEN", but if lower level player picked the fight go-for-it.I give hunters some leeway because I know from experience they have itchy fingers or their gun has a hair-trigger, lol. Second time, the fight-is-on.
