Looks great! :)I'm glad to see they're still implementing the teleport and randomize options, even if it is a 30 minute CD.
Glad to see they're making side-content a little more interesting. Gives one something fun to do when they've got a half an hour to spare.
Now, this is all fantastic, but they should also make the digsites in ek, outlands, northrend, and kalimdor have 6 things each, and allow for the randomization of all digsites and teleporting to any digsite in any continent(by which i mean add a lodestone and map for northrend, one for ek, etc.)

I think this is only a chip off the iceberg of archaeology. Most of the Lorewalker hub area seems unfinished. I was able to craft the Spear of Xuen in beta. Here is the log book entry:

Gah, too many factions!Definitely hoping they cascade all these nice new changes downward to the existing archaeology things. I have 2 characters with max and with all the time I've put into it, I still don't have some of the rares.I also lack the Vial of the Sands recipe. My main is not an alchemist, so I had to max archaeology on my alchemist... and I just have to toss out every urn I get without opening it on my main. I never get them on my alchemist... I wish they'd make the recipe BoA already (since it's an expansion old now) so I don't have to keep choosing which character to try for rares on.Of course, this gets lessened somewhat with mounts and pets becoming account-wide, but I'd still rather have the completion data on my main for those fun Tol'vir things. :P

i got gold that the quillen statute is a new archeology pet its description sounds like it would allow us to learn a mini mogu lion dog companion in the future. but i'm curious to find out what umbrella/dummy will do in the distant future.
So they "fix" everything but the real problem--the RNG. Wonderful.
Archeology was never that bad except you were thrown into it 80 levels behind. It was just too much having to cover the entire original continents to try for the epics and vanity items.
Please don't make this a daily thing! That would ruin the whole thing about it in my opinion. You should be able to do more than 1 a day :(
For a secondary profession, Archaeology requires a huge amount of your time to even come close to completing... so I agree, the RNG factor should be reduced in a more direct way than giving us more fragments per digsite. However, any progress is good progress as far as i'm concerned, and the fact that they're adding an entire faction for it, and all the extra features that comprise said faction make me super-excited!
That is some gr8 news about archaeology. Best thing is the Lorewalker's Lodestone.Flying from one end to the other is pretty timeconsuming.Anyway keep up the good news.
yay for them providing MORE lore that they basically just made up with this Xpac only.........how about some lore for the majority of the game? =P or at least the archaeology things...and.. q-q at lack of 'museum' type place to hold your army of rares...
I wonder if they'll make it so only Pandaren solves will give skillups past 525? If not, that's one Realm First! achievement that's going to be an absolute lottery...
