Oh definitely Illidan. Everything was just so ridiculously epic about that encounter, especially seeing it for the first time. I remember going to it and watching the RP and thinking, this is it, THIS is Burning Crusade. I was not prepared.
Ley-Guardian Eregos, Occulus dungeon. Well, you're on a drake all the fight
The chess in Karazhan.
Hard to choose... If I had to pick one though, I think I would have to go with the original Jan'Alai in ZA10. I'm kind of biased though. As a prot pally that fight made me look like a god =P
My favorite encounter during the entire game would have to be Zul'Aman's 'timed runs.' And I mean back in the Burning Crusade. I remember getting in groups, and as a 10 man raid we were all prepared and the best of the best. There was pressure to go as quickly as possible and be as clean and as efficient as possible. It made me feel like I was in a real 'assault group' where the enemies knew we were coming, and we had to rush before it was too late. I usually am not a fan of some aspects of that idea, but the way classic Zul'Aman had it made me feel like I was really epic if I somehow got to the very last boss of the event xD
40 man Onyxia. Talk about epic!
I have got to say my favorite encounter was Professor Putricide from Icecrown Citadel because the fight itself was really awesome, the way you have to do everything correctly to down him and his lines were awsome =]"Good news everyone! I think i have developed a plague that will destroy all life on Azeroth!" and who can forget"Just an ordinary gas cloud but watch out, because thats no ordinary gas cloud!"truly awesome dialogue! =]
Ick and Krick. The rage Krick has, and after he's defeated, all the crying, I think it's priceless
Always loved doing the lootship battle in ICC. Getting jetpacks and jumping around. Laughing at the person who falls of the ship.
It's a tie-in between Yogg-Saron and Ozumat for me. I mean, we are forced to choose between listening to the single most charismatic laughter in all of WoW and dishing out so many pain it makes the damage meters groan from excitement.
My favorite is the Hex Lord Malacrass. His fight depends entirelly the setup of raid, from to easy one to a very complex.
A toss-up between Vanessa VanCleef and Yogg-saron. Real shame I didn't get to the latter back when it was relevant.
The Gunship Battle, best time I had in ICC. And Jet packs, enough said.
Vaelastrasz in BWL is my favorite encounter. It was a mad dash to DPS the boss before everyone died. My old guild wasn't geared back then. So after all the plate died, the rest of us had to "tank." It was fun times popping evasion facing head-to-head with a dragon -- something rogues didn't see often.
My favorite? Heigan. It was a really fun, player-oriented fight. The mechanics were just really fun IMO and it's become my favorite fight in the game.
I have many favorite fights, most notable the whole of Ulduar.....but I have to say my favorite is probably Thaddius, 1.0Unique mechanics with the negative and positive charges, and his dialogue and background were so chilling when realized just how dark this boss is.I remember wiping uncountable times on this boss back in the day, and when we got him down the feeling was indescribable.
Cookie in normal Deadmines. You've fought a fierce Ogre Mage, a mad Goblin in a shredder, a giant harvester and a ferocious Worgen admiral, and when you finally stand on the deck and the "real" captain steps up is a Murloc in a cooking pot that throws food on the ground. It is an encounter so wacky it's lovable,, especially for pre-Cata players who have a soft spot for our favourite Murloc cook....err captain.
It would probably be The Lich King.An encounter unlike anything i have ever seen before. It was hard as well, unlike most other bosses in the whole WotLK.I especially liked the Defile because it made sure that everybody did their part, otherwise they would all die.To finish it off, the cinematic did the trick and was awesome.Murcain
Good news everyone! I've successfully found a way to combine my love for World of Warcraft and Futurama by fighting Professor Purticide but if you read the rest of this post in either his or Professor Farnsworth's voice you have either wiped too many times on Putricide or you enjoy watching Futurama so much that you know every invention Hubert Farnsworth has come up with including the Fing-longer!
I would have to say Malygos, It was just a fun fight to do, and I loved flying around on the little platform while everyone else was getting bombarded on the ground. Also it was always a race to see who'd do the most damage with the drakes. My guild just had a lot of fun with that boss; good times.
