Who say no healers .. healers are everywhere. Blizzard should reward DPS if they are in Q for more than 45 min .. otherwise this is downright unfair. Due to this unfairness, Tank with PvP/DPS gears or worse gears in Bag will Q as tank and cause countless wipe and undesirable disband. If Blizzard want to improve this system .. they should start tracking Tank Gears and people without minimum piece/level of tank gears should not be able to Q as tank. And Blizzard should reconsider about their ultimate nerfs to all healing classes.
I'm a pure DPS-player, and I have no problem with this. I'll probably never get one of these goodie bags myself, but so what? If tanks and healers getting them means I'll have shorter waiting times for heroics, I'm all for it.
This excites me quite a bit! While one of my toons has just about every pet she can get she's lacking on mounts and I don't really want to grind all the stuff out again for my tank who is my alt! The good news is while I'm sure this will get abused by non geared tanks/heals...there is a vote to kick and they have to "successfully complete" the dungeon in order to get their goodies so maybe this will prevent some of that?
I predict a wave of tanks lacking in the knowledge category as to how to tank the heroics along with them being in 80% DPS gear. As if the healer I had last night with strength trinkets on wasn't bad enough...Instant ques not enough for tanks? Healers not so much but definitely better then the DPS ques.As a Hunter that actually farmed all those mounts and bought/grinded for the pets: It's really %$&#ing lame cause there is no chance I will ever get a 'goodie bag'.Even if hell froze over and I did. I probably already have everything it drops.
This has to be one of the worst ideas ever, like previous comments, now tanks not only get instant queues, they get rewarded for it and with that being said now we're going to have people queuing as a tank when they don't have proper tank gear, so these will take forever to finish a dungeon now, so to summarize, dps and healers get screwed and have to deal with half ass tanks and don't get anything for it, if anything, if the call to arms is reached, EVERYONE should get that bag of goodies since they had to wait also
looks nice but seeing as they are going for cosmetic changes for the reward .. how bout a few tabbards ?
do you think the system will let me get rewards for my bandage speced warlock?
This change will only promote people that have no business tanking to que as a tank and fudge it up for the other 4 people in the PuG. When I que as a healer, I'm already getting tanks wearing full Bloodthirsty pvp gear and gemming straight stam, not that gemming avoidance or mastery is really going to make any difference at all as they are in PVP GEAR!While this "may" promote more tanks / healers it also slaps dedicated DPS such as mages, locks and hunters in the face. While the extras may not be huge, it's something extra that they will never be able to obtain... unless Blizzard sells them in the store :)
If Blizz wants to do something about the lack of tanks maybe they should try to focus on why no one wants to tank instead of offering incentives to people who "could tank" but will probably fail. You want to give tanks an incentive. Offer them extra Honor Points or maybe a few valor points every time they re-que.As a Tank, twice over, I would consider queuing up for more than one heroic per day if I was awarded Valor points instead of justice Points
As a Resto-Shaman, I'm lookin' forward to this.Of course there will be those who will qq like this is a soul crushing nerf to their pure dps class. (Looking at you Rilgon)They pretty much admitted what they wanted to do with this, to bribe the tank to actually tank. Remember, you will NOT get anything unless you finish the dungeon. And perculia, don't forget that the queue should be shorter, so a 15 minute queue (pulling the number out of my as... er, totem) for your heroic with the Unholy Death Knight tanking will only net another 15 minute queue for a Prot Warrior to show up. All together, 30 minutes with fail tank. that's less than the 45 minutes it is now.
Queue times aren't entirely unacceptable as a DPS'er. I caught up on my reading list because of it. :P
I don't think anything can encourage me to endure the asshattery of LFD again. The system isn't broken, the people using it are. Blizzard is fixing the wrong problem.
There are always going to be fewer tanks than dps, its the way raiding and dungeons have been designed. In any given situation tanks and healers are the least represented class role. Tanks some what worse in raiding. I think blizzard is hoping there are a lot of offspec tanks floating about for this to pay off
