Weren't they going to nerf warriors? And mages?Fury got some serious love, and HS seems to be stronger (or not so much weakened at least) too. And ice lance buffed? Seriously?I have nothing to complain about with a warrior main here, but these changes don't reflect what they said previously about these classes, at all...
If blizz says 93 < 75 , I will gladly let them nerf all my attack power coefficents :D
fml... just made my alch stone on my priest...
A few thoughts on the Deep Freeze nerf and the Frostbolt/FoF buff:Looking at some recount data, I saw that of my top 5 spells their respective damage outputs looked like this:Frostbolt - 2251775 damage (41.16%)Ice Lance - 1267221 (23.16%)Deep Freeze - 1394251 (25.49%)Frostfire Bolt - 340917 (6.23%)Frostfire Orb - 216610 (3.96%)Total Damage = 5470774Duration of Fight (in secs) 348.5DPS = 15,698Now when I took those numbers and applied the appropriate changes to the damage values (based on 15% increase to both Frostbolt and Ice Lance since I am assuming the only time ice lance is used is when targets are frozen with FoF active and the 20% nerf to Deep Freeze) here are the numbers:Frostbolt - 2589541.25 (50.16%)Ice Lance - 1457304.15 (28.23%)Deep Freeze -1115400.8 (21.61%)Frostfire Bolt - 340917 (6.6%)Frostfire Orb - 216610 (4.2%)DPS: 16413.2175DPS Difference: +4.55%So it seems that while we are gaining DPS, the spiky nature and the ridiculous numbers with Deep Freeze will go down slightly.I am not a theorycrafter by any extent, so if I'm making some rash assumptions let me know. Just a quick observation.
For hunters Serpent Spread: any word that the Sting from it will be affected by Cobra Shot now? Pretty annoyed that it's currently not and I have to re-apply a Sting.
The fire mage mana reduction is nice, I'm just wondering why they nerfed Deep Freeze damage of all things, if anything buffed frost PVP, barely touched arcane, and nerfed the silence duration of one of the longest CD interrupts. Also, the Tree of Life nerf makes no sense considering how lackluster healing CDs generally are (I like my healing reliable tyvm). The Healing Touch move made me lol, but I remember reading that Nourish was knocked down to take its place. Bear nerf makes me sad but it's not unwarranted.
i gotta say im curious about the hunter deterrence change. so does that mean instead of stacking expertise or timing dismantle to render it useless i can now store some hit on my rogue to negate their buff? while not really something id call a stack to infinity stat for pvp anything that makes my blades hit more often cant be a bad thing if im constantly knicking at plate and uber hide waiting for energy when fighting a tank.
While it doesnt specify here. I saw some info on a blue post PTR patch notes. The change to Deterence was so that certain rogue attacks, or well any attack that ignored the parry of deterence was removed. IE they wanted Deterence to render 100% immunity while it was up and that is why they made it miss chance instead. They also changed it so that a hunter can do it even whilst disarmed.
Yes, thanks for adding. I was in a hurry. :) But yes, any class that can do more than one of heal / dps / tank should do each of those slightly less effectively than a pure class. I've maintained this stance for years... even in other games I used to play. The tradeoff is versatility and being ABLE to change your role. Skill and gear being equal, when I see a hybrid class out-anything a pure class, kittens cry.
Im not liking the change of the druids healing touch..
yea i like the change on res shaman the heal will be better now!dut the will cost more mana too :(i not like the change on Gift of the Naaru
Why, Blizz, why did you change the healing on Fel Armor to mana? Warlocks don't need more mana, we have lifetap! We need the healing FOR lifetap. But it looks like the armors stay until dispelled. Nice. And are mana-less casts? Extra-nice.
I find it funny that, IMO, Pallys are one of the most broken classes right now, yet there are only 2 changes for them this patch? Ret DPS is brutally difficult to play perfectly, and if its not played exactly right, it is horrible. Even when you hit every random proc, your DPS is still sub-par with other classes that have much easier rotations.
