Details that have been speculated from a few sources about the upcoming expansion named World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, have been released: the factions to which each race (Goblin and Worgen) will belong. Though this information may be obvious to some people, a spoiler alert has been added as a precaution. The speculated information is right after the break!
One thing that's already been established, as covered by
ArgentSun
in this
blog
, is that the new races will be goblins and worgens. According to
recent
speculation
, the new expansion races will be as follows:
Goblin:
Horde
Worgen:
Alliance
I personally think that, lore-wise, this would make sense and would seem probable. If you think about it, which faction do you see the Goblins associate themselves with if they're not part of the
Steamwheedle Cartel
? Horde. So it would seem natural that the Goblin race would go Horde-side, leaving the Worgen with the Alliance. Fair trade? Perhaps so—but let's see what happens in the long run.
What do you think of this speculation?
Does it sound like Blizzard would do this, or do you think they would stick Goblins with Alliance and Worgen with Horde instead?
