Fished up or stolen from barrels at the various docks around Stormwind.
The barrels spawn at the following locations:
1. West of the Trade District (55, 69).
2. East of the Trade District (69, 65).
3. East of the Cathedral District (63, 51).
4. West of the Cathedral District (47, 58).
5. Northeast of the Cathedral District (56, 42).
6. Southeast part of the Dwarven District (69, 41).
7. Southeast of the Dwarven District (71, 44).
8. Northeast corner of Old Town (74, 50).
9. Olivia's Pond North of the Dwarven District (72, 23).

I found it faster to fish them from the Canals, although the barrels are spawned beside NPC fisherman.

Can be fished in Stormwind canals or "looted" from barrels that are spawned all around canals.

EDIT: It's faster to fish it up then chasing barrels usually. Catch rate is around 30-50% so it is quite fast.

And again, blizz made lazy monday mornings bit more interesting, just grab bottle of beer and sit in Stormwind, drink beer and fish. Next time you can say to your friends, even i was drunk, I got sooo giant fish

Very easily fished up at the canals with lvl 336 fishing skill.

gigantic catfish make an excellent ingredient in many of stormwinds most famous vegetarian recipes such as catfish gumbo, fillet o' kelp and possibly the most common, king wrynn's meatless meat pie, which now has 500% less meat!

find herbs tracks the barrels of catfish for some reason, dont believe me? make a level 1 and learn herbalism while having this quest

note to vegans and night elves, stay away from wrynns meat pies. just trust me

You can fish these from Stormwind Lake or the Stormwind Canals even with low Fishing skill although it will take longer than the typical fishing daily to catch all the ones you need. So, if you cannot spare the time, the Barrel of Canal Fish barrels are scattered around the city. The built-in quest tracker will show their general locations.

Also, if you're lucky you can complete two dailies at the same time. For instance, you can catch both the Gigantic Catfish for A Fisherman's Feast, the daily cooking quest from Robby Flay, at the same time you are fishing for Hardened Walleye for Hitting a Walleye, the daily fishing quest from Catherine Leland. At times I would catch one of each of the quest fish in a single cast. Two in one. That's a nice perk if you happen to have a lucky day where the quests match up.

I'm not sure why, but I wasn't able to loot any barrels even after relog/reaccepting quest until after I went ahead and tried to fish them up myself.

If anyone else runs into this issue, try this I guess? :o
