Says this battle pet is obtained from "Oddly-Colored Egg." One theory I have is that the Oddly-Colored Egg has a low drop rate from a mob in Broken Isles, similar to how Sprite Darter Egg which is used to summon Sprite Darter Hatchling has a low drop rate from mobs in Feralas.

Oddly-Colored Egg is located behind several walls and a gargoyle guardian in a cave called Cave of Consumption on the northern coast of Moonglade. No legitimate way to get past walls or the watcher has been discovered at this time

Most of the items can be bought on the Auction House, however some of them are Bind of Pickup and you'll have to go and get them yourself.
Check Kruithne's post below for in-depth information on how to obtain them.

Make sure to follow each step as they are described in this guide.
If you attempt to cheat or forget to use a consumable in time then you will get teleported back at the start.
DO NOT cancel any buff unless you are told to do so.

Sun Darter Hatchling is looted from an Oddly-Colored Egg which is found at the end of a cave in Winterspring.

As soon as you enter the cave, Consuming Silence will be applied to you which makes you unable to use most of your abilities and toys.

The first things you have to deal with are two barriers: a wall of fire and a wall of fel
To get past the first barrier you have to use Major Fire Protection Potion and to get past the second one you also have to use all the other 5 major protection potions:

Major Nature Protection Potion Major Shadow Protection Potion

Fel is Chaos. Chaos includes all schools of magic.

Now you have to use Noggenfogger Elixir until you become a skeleton so that you are able to walk by the Diligent Watcher without getting teleported back at the start.

After passing the gargoyle the path is now split and you'll want to go to the right towards the the wall of vines.
To get past it you'll have to use Scotty's Lucky Coin to transform into a forest sprite.

Once inside the new room, make sure to pick up a Water Stone from the pool of water and use it.
This will give you a 15 minute buff which will allow you to walk through the blue barrier from before.

Now you have to use Dire Brew so that you can walk by the Stone Watcher without getting teleported back at the start.

The path is split again so make sure to follow this order:

1. Go up the ramp to the transparent barrier on the right side and use Ethereal Oil to get through it.
After the gate, there is a Strange Stone with a hole for your arm. To make your arm better fit within the hole, use Gordok Ogre Suit and Winterfall Firewater.
Click the stone <Place arm in hole> and you will then get the Sign of the Second buff.

2. Now go back to the gate on the left. Use Pygmy Oil until you get transformed into a Pygmy! and then you can get through the gate that leads towards the Wisdom Cube.

Summon Perky Pug and use the "Little Princess" Costume on it. Interact with the cube and select <Place arm beneath cube>
Once you get the Sign of the First buff you can leave this room and head towards the gate at the bottom.

3. With the buffs from the stone and the cube, the gate is now open and leads to a Tarnished Plaque - READ IT!

The greatest of achievements begins with the smallest leap of the mind.

Before you can cross the water, cancel (right-click) the Winterfall Firewater buff and use Scroll of Intellect
Now you can go and get your pet from the Oddly-Colored Egg in the water!

Solved on discord secret channel few minutes ago. Wisdom Cube grants you Sign of the First when you are accompanied by Perky Pug with "Little Princess" Costume (the most amusing heir). Then you need to use Scroll of Intellect (the smallest leap of mind) and finally your are able to cross the water and loot the egg.

Major Protection Potions

Major Arcane Protection Potion
Can be bought off the auction house, or crafted by an alchemist (360) with the recipe below.
Recipe: Major Arcane Protection Potion is obtained by killing Vir'aani Arcanist located around Oshu'gun in Nagrand (Outland).
Note: This recipe will only drop for players with the Alchemy profession.

Major Holy Protection Potion
Can be bought off the auction house, or crafted by an alchemist (360) with the recipe below.
Recipe: Major Holy Protection Potion is obtained by killing Abyssal Flamebringer located within Force Camp Terror in Blade's Edge Mountains.

Major Shadow Protection Potion
Can be bought off the auction house, or crafted by an alchemist (360) with the recipe below.
Recipe: Major Shadow Protection Potion is obtained by killing Shadow Council Warlock located within Legion Hold in Shadowmoon Valley (Outland).

Recipe: Major Frost Protection Potion is obtained from Nexus-Prince Shaffar, a boss inside the Mana-Tombs dungeon in Terokkar Forest.
Note: This recipe will only drop for players with the Alchemy profession.

Major Nature Protection Potion
Can be bought off the auction house, or crafted by an alchemist (360) with the recipe below.
Recipe: Major Nature Protection Potion is purchased from Fedryen Swiftspear and requires the player to be Exalted with the Cenarion Expedition.
The quickest method of getting to Exalted with the Cenarion Expedition is to run the Steamvaults dungeon on Heroic difficulty without killing bosses repeatedly. This will take roughly 25~ clears. Killing a boss inside the dungeon while on Heroic difficulty will lock you to the instance for the day and prevent resetting.

Note: Another method of obtaining the major protection potions above is to craft the corresponding potion cauldrons. This is not ideal, and has thus been redacted due to character limitations of this post.

Dire Brew (Blackrock Depths)

Tip: If you have (or know someone who has) Direbrew's Remote available, you can use it to teleport into this dungeon!

To obtain the Dire Brew, head to the Blackrock Depths dungeon located within Blackrock Mountain. Once inside, go through the iron gate on your left. On your right a little further along should be another iron gate, go through this and head over to the door on your left.

Entering the door, you should see a large device called The Shadowforge Lock, head on over and activate this. Inside the same room, head up the first flight of stairs and take a left. Follow the corridor along (it takes a few turns) until you arrive at an open room with two stairs leading down in opposite directions. Take the stairs on the right which lead into a room called The Manufactory. Inside The Manufactory, you want to head as much to the right as you can. There's a small corridor that leads out, guarded by Fireguard Destroyers. Follow this bridge along and you'll be inside the Grim Guzzler.

Once inside the Grim Guzzler, head to the upper level and locate Dark Iron Brewer who will be stood crafting at a smoggy stove by the bar counter. While being careful not to kill him (since he is an attackable target), talk to him and exhaust his dialog until he passes out. At this point, he will spawn a tankard at your feet which you can loot for the Dire Brew.

Gordok Ogre Suit (Dire Maul):

This can be bought off the auction house, however the price is likely to be high. To get one for yourself, head to Dire Maul and follow the instructions below!

Once at Dire Maul, you'll want to head inside using the north entrance (there are multiple entrances to the dungeon, so check your compass to make sure you use the right one). After entering the portal, you should be in the Gordok Commons. Turn left and follow the path along (ignore the ramp on your immediate right). You should reach a small ramp with hyena-taming ogres at the top of it. Head up this ramp and go right, you should see another ramp on your left; head up this.

Go through the gazebo and down a ramp on the other side where a large door named "Gordok Courtyard Door" is located. Open this door and go through it. Follow the Halls of Destruction down until you come out in a room filled with Carrion Swarmers. Keep going through this room, however pay attention to the far-right corner where a goblin named Knot Thimblejack is stood since you'll need to come back to him shortly.

Keep following the linear layout and head up a large ramp. At the top of the ramp, you should notice a small Ogre Tannin Basket on the floor. Loot this for the Ogre Tannin and take it back to Knot Thimblejack you passed in exchange for the Gordok Ogre Suit.

Tip: Enable low-level quest tracking on your minimap if you have trouble spotting Knot Thimblejack.

Miscellaneous

Noggenfogger Elixir
Sold by Sprinkle Noggenfogger in Gadgetzhan. The prerequisite quest is no longer required.
In order to purchase these, you will need to be at least Neutral with Gadgetzhan.

Winterfall Firewater
Can be bought off the auction house, and is dropped by Winterfall furbolgs in Winterspring.
Farming: Head to 25, 48 in Winterspring, which is just to the east of Timbermaw Hold, and kill enemies starting with the name Winterfall.

Ethereal Oil
Can be bought off the auction house, or crafted by alchemists (learnt at 375 from an alchemy trainer).
The Glassfin Minnow needed to craft these potions are caught from pools found in Crystalsong Forest.
Tip: Keep any Pygmy Suckerfish you fish up, as they are needed for the next item listed!

Pygmy Oil
Can be bought off the auction house, or crafted by alchemists (learnt at 375 from an alchemy trainer).
The Pygmy Suckerfish needed to craft these potions are caught while fishing in open inland water in Northrend.
Tip You're likely to catch these while fishing the Glassfin Minnow needed for Ethereal Oil (see previous step).

Scotty's Lucky Coin
Dropped by Scotty located in Townlong Steppes, behind a house at 21.8, 46.2.
He takes around five minutes to respawn after having been killed.
Tip: The coin is personal loot, so grouping up with players of your faction is beneficial!

Scroll of Intellect
Can be bought off the auction house, or crafted by players with the Inscription profession.
Some vendors carry this item, but the stock is limited, so it's not ideal for obtaining it.
To craft this, a scribe will need Moonglow Ink, which is obtained by milling Silverleaf, Earthroot or Peacebloom

"Little Princess" Costume
Can be bought off the auction house, or from various vendors as follows:
Lio the Lioness - Lunarfall (Alliance Garrison) pet menagerie, or at the Magical Menagerie in Dalaran. Costs 1x Shiny Pet Charm.
Serr'ah - Frostwall (Horde Garrison) pet menagerie, or at the Magical Menagerie in Dalaran. Costs 1x Shiny Pet Charm.
Whizzig - Timeless Isle. Costs 500x Timeless Coin. This vendor is a rare spawn.

If you need Pygmy Oil and don't want to fish up fish or buy from AH/other players, go clear your way through Ulduar to Freya and you'll get 18-19 of them from the Alchemist's Cache that she drops.

Couple tips as I had to complete twice due to being teleported out after receiving the two Sign buffs:

After the Stone Golem, you want to go up the ramp on the right (the gate you see below is the final one). Walk up the center of the ramp; don't get too close to the ledge or walk off the side of the ramp once you have the two Sign buffs as it may teleport you out.

At the top of the ramp, it made more sense to me to go through the left gate first by using the Pgymy oil. Completing in the reverse order my first time through I had to remove the size increase buffs to fit through the small gate (not sure if that is intended).

Remember, all you alchemists out there: creating the potions for this gives you x5 of each of them. That leaves you 4 to sell on the AH when you're done everything.

Farming or buying the mats may be annoying, but if you're an alchemist, it's probably worth it to craft your own as you end up with spares to sell for those who can't craft them!

Guys this is VERY important - for the last portion of the event, do NOT jump down into the water after you've applied the intellect buff! It will teleport you back outside and you'll most likely lose both of your one hour buffs like I did. I couldn't understand what I did wrong but I thought it may be bugged. When I got the pet the second time around, upon entering the last room I made my way all the way over to the right and entered the water from the slope to get to the egg. This worked! Just a heads up for everyone else. I don't want anyone else to suffer the way I did having to redo everything. :(

Co-ords are like 56,15 for the cave -it's not actually in Winterspring, but on the other side of the mountain range on the "coast".

Do NOT buy the Water Stone from the Auction House!
Some people are trying to scam other players who didn't read the item checklist or guide properly and will try to sell this for 10,000g or higher.
According to some guys from the Discord server the sad thing is that this scam even works. Someone sold the Water Stone for 50,000g.

So again: DO NOT buy it from the Auction House!

Cave entrance is not in Winterspring but rather north of it on the coast of the Great Sea.
Fly due north from about 48,1 in Winterspring and you will find an area of trees and some stones with the Cave.

Anyone know if you can do this one the same character more than once? Obviously, there is the 3 pet max and they are cageable, but rather than farm another Scotty on an alt, I'm hoping it can be redone on the same character. Would like someone else to confirm first, though. :)

If you get spontaneously teleported out of the cave, DO NOT PANIC! If you still had the buffs on, you can still return to the point where you got teleported out.
You do not have to disable any buffs until the last part with the water, and even if you disabled that Firewater buff then, you can still backtrack, should you get ported out.

It seems that falling (e.g. at the ramp or at the water in the end) can trigger the teleport, quite annoying.

Hey guys, I wanna make a very important note. Do not fall off of anything at all. Any sort of ledge, i know it had been mentioned at the final step like go around the ramp to the side, don't fall into the water, or you will get teleported. do not fall off of anything, water below or land, regardless. don't fall. take the long route.

I feel off a tiny 2 foot ledge at the water stone puddle, and then got teleported out, and then once i finally waited and got back in, and then also be very careful of the area of detection of both the watchers, as i stepped like 5 feet past the blue water barrier, and got teleported out, and then once i finally got back in and properly applied my stone dwarf disguise and got past, i properly got through the ethereal oil door and used my ogre disguise and fire water, and got back through, and then as i walked back down, i thought i could just walk off the ledge and short-cut fall below. nope, i got teleported out of there too and then now I'm down both my iron dwarf ale thing, and my ogre disguise.

The cave is located due North of 49,03 (It is off the map so it doesn't have an exact location.) You will go past Winterspring and descend down out of the snow and into an area with greenery. The cave is under a large tree.

Something was glitched for me when I did this - I did the Ethereal Oil / Ogre Suit part, but the access to the tarnished plaque was open without me having the Sign from the Wisdom Cube. I backtracked and found the Cube (the directions weren't clear for me initially where to find it) to make sure I didn't get booted outside again, but now I'm wondering if I could have skipped.

Hatchling obtained, though! Thanks to all the people who made this easy.

SUMMARY OF HOW TO ACQUIRE THE SUN DARTER HATCHLING PET (this CANNOT be repeated on the same toon - the egg will NOT be there)

Required: 15 Items
1. Major Fire Protection Potion (alchemy or AH)
2. Major Arcane Protection Potion (alchemy or AH)
3. Major Frost Protection Potion (alchemy or AH)
4. Major Holy Protection Potion (alchemy or AH)
5. Major Nature Protection Potion (alchemy or AH)
6. Major Shadow Protection Potion (alchemy)
7. Noggenfogger Elixir x 5 (buy in Gadgetzan from Sprinkle Noggenfogger – across from flight path)
8. Scotty’s Lucky Coin - unique you can only hold one but three charges(Looted of Sprite named Scotty in Townlong Stepps – Coor: 21.46 behind and under small house)
9. Dire Brew - unique you can only hold one (Blackrock Depths – go to the Grim Guzzler – talk to the Dark Iron Brewer in the back over and over until he falls and drops his mug – then loot it (the mug is kind of hard to see in the fog)
10. Ethereal Oil (alchemy or AH)
11. Pygmy Oil x 7-10 (alchemy or AH)
12. Scroll of Intellect (inscription or AH)
13. Princess Perky Pug Costume (and the perky pug!)
14. Ogre Suit - unique you can only hold one (Dire Mall – north instance (from repeatable quest inside - go left when entering and up thru the courtyard of Ogres and dogs, then thru door and down the ramp to the quest giver, then up opposite ramp to pick up quest item and back to quest giver - the Ogre suit is the reward)
15. Winterfall Firewater (loot off Winterfall Furbogs – Coor: 25.52)

Go to CAVERN of CONSUMPTION on the NORTH side of the mountains of Winterfall – Coor: 49.3)
(If these steps are done out of order or missed you will be returned to the beginning of cave – just run in again, your buffs are still good)

• Fire Wall (red): use Major Fire Protection Potion – go through
• Fel Wall (green): use all of the other 5 ( arcane, frost, holy, nature and shadow) potions – 6 buffs total – go through (potions share 1 minute cool down – be patient)
• Gargoyle – Take 1-3 Noggenfogger Elixir to turn into a Skeleton to pass him
• Turn right – to Vine barrier – Use Scotty’s Lucky Coin (turn into sprite to pass through barrier)
• Grab a Water coin out of the pool and use it (water buff – blue water buff around feet)
• Leave this room and turn right to Blue Barrier and pass through and STOP! (if you get too close to the Stone Watcher you will be put back at start)
• Use Dire Brew to turn into a dwarf and walk past the Stone Watcher
• Turn Right to go to Purple Barrier – take Ethereal Oil
• Go up ramp (hard to see) to Stone Revolving Box (looks like a Rubik's Cube) Use Ogre Suit and Winterfall Firewater to get bigger and put arm in hole to get Second Sight Buff
• Come out of this room and turn right to a gated room – use abt out 7-12 Pygmy Oil to turn into a masked gnome and make you way up to the second Stone Revolving Box
• Take out your Perky Pug – and use the Princess Perky Pug Costume on it talk to the stone several times for another buff
• Come out of this room and come back down ramp (do NOT jump) and turn right to last gated room
• Walk to silver plate on wall – right click on your Winterfall Firewater buff to dismiss it (or you will get an error)
• Use your Scroll of Intellect and read plate
• Walk around into the water and pick up your Oddly Colored Egg (the Sun Darter is in it)

A couple notes:

1. Almost anything you jump off of (ledges etc) can knock you back to the beginning. Won't happen every time, but once is enough.
2. Even if your character isn't visibly a skeleton/dwarf/etc, if you have the buff in the upper right the game will give you credit for being that thing for the purposes of the puzzle.
3. When walking through the blue water wall, the next puzzle is only a few feet inside. At my zoom level, I could still see the wall between me and my character when it tossed me to start for being too close to the sentinel without my direbrew equipped.
4. This is probably obvious, but don't feel you need to repeat every step just cuz you get thrown back - you still have all your prot potions, your water crystal buff, etc for 15 minutes afterwards, plenty of time to repeat things if you mess something up.

Just a heads up, when I got to the looting of the water stone part, I wasn't able to see any stones anywhere. I realized it was because my graphics settings were too low (was set to quality 1). After I switched it up to 3 I was able to see and loot the water stone.

So make sure your graphic settings are not set too low!

Just in case you are not sure about everything, and not sure when to use it all, you can go get all the items, logout and copy your char on the PTR and train, so you wont waste the items you have gathered, then do this til you know exactly what to do at all time, its a shame to get far in and then make a mistake and have to start all over, and get items again..

You won't be able to use Winterfall Firewater with a flask on. If you're like me and doing the cave after a raid, remember to remove your flask buff. You'll get "A more powerful spell is already active" and with 15+ buffs on my bar I wasn't sure at first which buff was causing the error, hah

I can confirm - I just did the cave without doing the Gordok Ogre Suit/Winterfall Firewater part. I accidentally clicked off the Ogre Suit while trying to click off my flask (which was preventing me from using the Firewater).

Based on other comments here - It seems you have to do EITHER the Gordok Ogre Suit/Firewater OR the Pygmy/Perky Pug+Princess, not both.

We've had confirmed comments stating that they were done without doing one or the other.

I had a lot of trouble finding the cave entrance, it is north of Frostsaber Rock, over the mountain range in an area called the Great Sea, I don't see how you could get there without flying but it might be possible to run around the coast from somewhere. If you go too far down the mountains towards the sea your coordinates turn to zero so stay a little above where they do that. Fly around the mountains until you get to 48.52, 0.22, then turn north and fly down the cliff, you will see a number of trees and amongst them a pile of boulders much darker than any others, that's it.

As a result, all of the mats are basically being monopolized and hiked on the AH. Might be better to self-gather or trade.

So gutted, I got to the very end, went to use my scroll and I got the message "Can not use, you are silenced..." The only thing I did differently - maybe incorrectly - was to remove my ogre suit to I could see when I became a pigmy for the Wisdom Cube.... I was then told by guildies "oh, yeah, its a bit buggy" WTH? Sad face, off to farm coin/suit/pots again.... /sigh

This pet does not fly alongside your flying mount. It will despawn the moment you take off, and sometimes refuse to automatically spawn again when you land, similar to many other flying yet not actually flying pets.

I find it infuriating that even a pet this rare (expensive) can't fly. People have been complaining about flying pets not being able to actually fly for years, but apparently it is still completely random which pets get the privilege of flying and which don't.

One example of the complete randomness that determines pets' ability to fly:

Hyjal Wisp This can't fly
Spirit of Summer This can fly

Same model, different color. One can fly, the other can't.

I wonder how many more years it will take Blizzard to realize that this is frustrating for many pet collectors and do a pass of ALL pets giving at least the ones that are clearly airborne the ability to actually fly.

Thank you so much to everyone who posted these guides-- they were excellent and I had a lot of fun with the whole thing. Really enjoyed the adventure of getting and/or making all the required items, and I especially enjoyed going through the cave. It felt like a mysterious and cool adventure to me, and would probably have been immensely frustrating if not for all the detailed advice on here.

If you're trying to grind for the common-mob dropped Protection Potion recipes and your alchemist is a leather or mail armor class, I'd highly recommend using the leatherworking crafted legendary (either Vigilance Perch or The Sentinel's Eternal Refuge), as it makes it far easier to run around killing the mobs. My alchemist is a druid and even with access to instant flight form, it's simply easier being able to have an auto-shifted flight form that activates as soon as you leave combat. As long as you keep killing mobs in the area, you shouldn't have any problem keeping the 5 stacks up at all times. Just use an instant cast spell to one shot things (and if it's a free resource-generator, even better, i.e. Moonfire or ), loot and fly to the next mob or group of mobs.

I made Scroll of Intellect VII and... couldn't use it inside the cave because of silence.
So you should make/buy Scroll of Intellect level I or use your high level scroll before start of this even, outside of the cave (you will get 30 min buff).

I can confirm that druids still have the ability to shapeshift even in the cave so I was able to do this a little faster because I was in my cat form. Hope this helps my fellow druids.

Aside from being able to actually be in your cat/bear form while doing this event, you can also use all the items up the scroll and as long as you keep the buffs up you can just run right through and you wont get ported out

A brief note about using Direbrew's Remote when going to get Dire Brew:
Direbrew's Remote used to take you directly to the Grim Guzzler, which would have been hugely convenient. Back then, they had to undo the Shadowforge Lock when you ported in this way, otherwise it would have been impossible to reach the early parts of the dungeon, as there's no way to unlock it from that side. But apparently as of around the time Legion was released, Direbrew's Remote now takes you to the very beginning of the dungeon, yet retains the formerly necessary property of undoing the Shadowforge Lock for you. When you get inside the East Garrison and don't find a Shadowforge Lock to click on, this could be the reason.

One nice thing that can be taken as a relief is the fact that one, if need be, can safely log out during any part of the cave and log back in later to pick up where one had left off. This is particularly handy if one of the required items was somehow forgotten or mixed up. Fortunately the Guild Perk, Mobile Banking, is usable while Consuming Silence is active. This allows the option to log over to an alt and pick up any missing item, deposit the item into the Guild Bank, and log back to the cave to finish up!

Before you enter the cave: REMOVE ALL YOUR CURRENT BUFF. Stuff like flask, augment rune and fel focuser buff especially, as they will prevent some of the others buffs to be applied.

Dont be silly like me, pet can be bought on the Auc, AND IT COSTS 11k (twisting-nether) instead I've spend over 25k on regs and ridiculos amount of time and that is considering that I've done the cave with my 1st try. I know you can check if pet is cageable or not, but that did not occure to me due to its extreme way of obtaining. But Blizz never stops surprising.
That fact about buying the pet, should be the 1st what you read when "googling" the pet.

If you plan to do this on an alt, save yourself a trip to Townlong by looting an additional Water Stone. The item is unique so you can only ever have one in your bag. But, on the character that went through the wall of vines, you can consume the water stone buff and loot an additional one that can be mailed to an alt.

Also, don't make the mistake I did and try to use the 6 major protection potions before arriving at the cave to save sometime. The buff duration inside the cave is 17 mins but outside, it's the standard 2 mins (as indicated on the potions).

I can confirm another comment here which mentions that the Ogre suit and Winterfall firewater is optional if you already have Perky Pug and Pygmy Oil. This will save a trip to Feralas and killing the Furblogs in Winterspring.

It is worth noting that because of Consuming Silence you can't use toys like The Innkeeper's Daughter so if you don't have a normal Hearthstone in your bag, hearthing is not an option!

Garrison Hearthstone and Dalaran Hearthstone both work fine too!

The entrance to the Caverns of Consumption is at 57,16 in Winterspring.

With thanks to those who commented earlier in this thread, I just completed this WITHOUT a Perky Pug/little princess outfit. If you don't have the pug, simply SKIP the WISDOM CUBE chamber entirely and head down the ramp after using the Gordok Ogre Suit/Winterspring Firewater combo in the other chamber. The vine door blocking the chamber with the egg will be open! I guess this works similarly if you have the pug, but not the Gordok Ogre Suit/Firewater. I don't have the Perky Pug (I hate pug groups), so it was nice to see an alternative path open.

Currently impossible to get in the Shadowlands prepatch. (9.0.1)

The fire barrier can be passed, but due to the new potion cooldown changes, you cannot pass the chaos barrier. The fire resistance buff falls off before you can put on even the fourth one. (5 minute CD, 15min duration).

If you're wondering what's going on, it's a bug currently and hopefully fixed soon.

Since patch 9.0.1 potions now have 5min CD and last 17min so they run out befor you can get pass the Fel barrier. :(

When they say they have "fixed" it, what they mean is that the duration of the 6 buffs to pass the fel gate, has now increased to 2 hours each instead of 15min. What this means, is that instead of you having to log out and wait out the 5min, you can now wait it out without logging out!

You still have the 5min potion debuff timer, and trying to use them any quicker results in "item is not ready yet". So be aware that it does still take 25min to pass the first two gates.

Warning: do NOT click off the ogre buff- I had finished almost all the steps and was trying to click off the buffs to put the intellect buff on, on clicking off the ogre one I was immediately ported out, with no buffs left!

The first six potions to use have a 5 minute cooldown and last more than an hour. The tooltip says 2h but by the time I could use potion #2, I was down to about 57 minutes left on #1.

Make sure you've got at least 30 minutes to do this.

At the end, just start clicking off buffs to be able to get out. It will port you to the entrance and you can run outside and hearth because inside your hearth won't work.

The Major X Protection Potions now last for a bit over an hour, but the tooltip still shows that it lasts 2 minutes. The 5 minute cooldown is still accurate.

Drinking the Major potions used to have a 1 minute cooldown, but now it's 5 minutes. Hey Blizzard, can you stop wasting our time? This is ridiculous just getting past the 5 barriers. This place was bad enough and so you make it worse?

With the update of the Dragonflight pre-patch, this model now has a new unique wing texture with more orange and purple wings! It no longer shares the wing texture with the Sprite Darter Hatchling model.

Previously the shared texture was evident as the scaled part of the wings were blue rather than orange, but they fixed that and gave the wing membrane some new colors to match. Uploaded a screenshot so more people can see the awesome fix.

I had a problem today where I took all 6 potions before I started, and then I couldn't get through the fire barrier because all but the last potion fell off; it suddenly showed that I had only one buff remaining: 2 minutes left on the shadow protection!

I retried, taking just the fire potion, going through that barrier, and then THEN taking the other 5 potions. I was able to keep all 6 of the potion buffs that way. I may have somehow screwed up before...? I haven't heard anyone else mention this.

In case it matters, here's the order I used the 2nd time:

Fire -> fire barrier -> arcane -> frost -> holy -> nature -> shadow -> fel barrier
