Blizzard: You know what would be funny? Force people to go into fast-paced dungeons for quest items, but HIDE them so they have to repeat 3-6 times! HAHA so funny omg poor healers

Just finished Maw of Souls on LFR (dungeon finder). I can confirm this is obtainable after the dungeon has been completed. After you have defeated Helya, jump in the open pools. You will be stunned and receive a chunk of damage. Keep doing this until you die, and then release spirit. You will find that you're resurrected back on the upper deck next to the 2nd to the last boss. Make your way, back, down toward the right most of the ship (starboard), under a ramp you will find a crate. Thanks, enjoy.

I just ran this on Heroic, and of course we did the instance at warp 8. So I flew back to the entrance, entered, and there were no mobs. A little searching, and I had the ring.

I went back on Normal, solo'd to the chest. ilvl 900 Frost DK. Try to avoid the rare if he's up, he ate my face once.

I submitted a screenshot of the crate this ring is in, hopefully it gets approved. On your way out of the ship, before heading up the spiraling path, you go right and back around. You can get this after the end of the dungeon. If you dont want to suicide in the pools at the end you can teleport out and back if someone stays in the dungeon. You will res or teleport on deck, turn around, go back into the ship, when it T's take the left, go down the ramp and it is under the ramp. It is a big large box that should have a white highlight, skull decorating the side. There are no co-ordinates or I would provide them. On the minimap it looks kinda like a wine bottle, you want to be in the lowerleft corner before the "neck" of the bottle. it does not indicate on the minimap where it is which really sucks.

To confirm: It's under the stairs BEFORE the spiraling path up towards the final part of the dungeon. If you rez back, you need to go back down the spiraling path to get to it.

If you walk in, you have to do Kim Ymiron and blow the horn. Don't kill Helya before completing the quest because if you take the portal back to the beginning. You are unable to blow the horn again. So you have to go back out and redo it. We did it on Heroic to begin with and then did it on Normal.
