LIFE STEAL AT LAST !

since i've played Diablo 3, i've been yearning for such a possibility in WoW.
maybe damage will never be significant enough for these 2.5% to have the awesome impact it can have on D3, but i don't doubt there will be +damage taken% debuffs on future raids to have laughs with this.

With Life Steal, the DeathKnight will truly have mastered the dark secrets of life and death!

Reminds me of the very old passive buff that came with blood presence. Currently on the PTR 7/20 the equip effect does not work. At least for DK.

The proc is somewhat reminds me of Souldrinker. Although this time around, I don't think dps will be as interested in the proc.
There are several nice changes though that make this superior to the sword:

Heal scales with damage dealt/vengeance
Procs from ALL damage, not just melee attacks
All five tanks can make use of it

Although, I wish it had something other than dodge rating on it... *dreams about nearly 2k mastery*

As a Brewmaster this trinket seems a bit underwhelming. I couldn't see the proc doing a whole lot on most fights since everything in SoO hits you so hard anyway. At 2/2, the 700-1k hp ticks, with 2-3k coming off keg smashes don't make much of a difference at all. Plus the dodge is not a desirable stat at all for Brewmasters. This trinket might be pretty niche for heavy AoE situations or soloing old content. The proc is unique but mostly fluff in my opinion.

Got this last week on my guardian druid and decided to test this on normal modes this week. The healing received is VERY lackluster. On the dark shaman fight the trinket proc accounted for 900k healing with 670k of that as overhealing. That raw healing was about 4% of my healing taken.

Holding onto this in case it gets buffed but for now it is basically just a novelty trinket.

The potential for this item is not found within this tier. It's for going back to older content, especially on classes with almost no self-healing.

As a Mage, I really hope my guild would be willing to part with one of these to me, as I'd love to try and solo much harder bosses that I couldn't before due to such terrible self-healing I have.

I upgraded to this trinket from an old raid finder 502. I do agree that it would be more worthwhile if the dodge was instead mastery or even expertise, but don't sell it short.

It reminds me a bit of the "Regen" spell from several Final Fantasy games, in that the healing by itself isn't particularly significant, but it's a slow passive feed that in practice works more as damage reduction than actual healing. In conjunction with the two-piece bonus from the T16 warrior set, it works to dramatically reduce the impact of an incoming hit before my healers do a thing.

despite the lackluster heals, its still better then some of the other trinkets except for Vial of Living Corruption.

this is an awful trinket for every tank spec. you don't want to burn your warforged trying to get this because the heal is garbage and nobody goes after dodge. even as a haste stacking prot pally the heal is a joke compared to using seal of insight.

if the static stat was mastery it might be worth having but other than that even upgraded lfr tot trinkets and normal/heroic tot trinkets are far better.

So my guild let me take one of these and I did some testing. For science!
As a hunter this trinket will let you proc the legendary healing cape and redistribute the overhealing from this trinket onto players around you. The healer proc also boosts the healing by 5%!

A tank with a decent gear can easily do 60 -70k DPS during boss fight, so with this trinket he can heal up himself for about 1,2 - 1,4k HPS. Not that much if you think at the dmg taken durin' a normal fight. But now figure out a DK in blood spec, with haste dps gear, and this ...

Normal Warforged (ilvl 559, 563, 567) - 2.80%, 2.91%, 3.02%
Normal (ilvl 553, 557, 561) - 2.65%, 2.75%, 2.86%
Flexible (ilvl 540, 544, 548) - 2.35%, 2.44%, 2.53%
Raid Finder (ilvl 528, 532, 536) - 2.10%, 2.18%, 2.26%

So a 50,000 damage attack would restore anywhere from 1050 to 1705 health.

Excellent for fights where healers might not be able to reach you 100% of the time and also increases your chances of staying topped.
I play a protection warrior, so the dodge on this badboy makes this BiS for protection warriors!
Note: This trinket may be swapped out on some bosses because you're going to need the trinket from protectors instead.

Scenarios @ bosses in SoO where I found this trinket very useful.

Norushen - Helps you staying alive inside the golden orb.

Malkorok - Since all healing turns into a shield, this is great! The healers were very thankful for this and I ended up with 70k hps! (What can I say, vengeance really get the job done.)

General Nazgrim - Execute might bring you down to low health. I found myself in a position where my shield slam and Enraged Regeneration got me back to 100% health again.

Thok the bloodthirsty - If you're going with the 2 tank tactic you will be able to swap out Vial of Living Corruption for Rook's Unlucky Talisman, those roars hurt, especially in phase 1 where Panic will make you into a toast without cooldowns ready. Now, where does the Jugg trinket come in handy? You see, it's impossible for the healers to keep you topped 100% of phase 1. There were times when we progressed that the roar 2-shot me because I was running low and had no cooldowns left. This trinket will help your healers keeping you at 100% health at all times, which prevents the roar from crushing you.

Siegecrafter Blackfuse - On heroic version my guild's tactic is to keep stacking Electrostatic Charge (On heroic it's 400%, up from 200%) until you have 6 stacks. This way, there is no way you'll die from damage (Except from 1-shots), which means your healers can focus more on topping the raid instead of you.

Also helps you a lot in LFR because those healers cannot be trusted at all times.

Would like to point out that this is probably the best trinket right now for self healing for classes that have no self healing and want to solo old content. The self healing it gives me for my main is enough that I don't have to heal from any other source, even on the spine and other difficult areas, but be careful. On the spine, wait until you have 9 bloods killed all in one area so you don't have to have an amalgamation up too long. Otherwise you may find yourself killing more amalgamations just to heal yourself.
