This bait can be fished in the inland waters (lava) of Frostfire Ridge, in the ocean you can fish Sea Scorpion bait. It CAN be used together with fishing lures and, as the tootip says, it increases your chance to fish Small Fire Ammonite / Fire Ammonite / Enormous Fire Ammonite while fishing in Frostfire. It's unique but don't be afraid to use it, it's quite easy to fish up another.

A very nice fishing spot to fish for both this and fire ammonite is in the Pools of Vision in Wor'gol.

using this bait makes it possible to fish for fire ammonite inside your garrison; doing this does not always get you another bait though.

You cannot catch another Fire Ammonite Bait when you have one in your bag. Using a Fire Ammonite Bait while fishing not only increases your chances to catch a Small Fire Ammonite / Fire Ammonite / Enormous Fire Ammonite but also the chance to catch another bait. It seems a guaranteed chance to catch another bait while using a bait.

The duration of the effect does not stack. Used one with 2 minutes left on my other one just to see, and the buff was for 5 minutes, not 7.

The fishing bait can be used in addition to fishing lures, such as Bright Baubles.

These new additions to the game have given me the opportunity to invest in a Tacklebox! If you like to fish, even occasionally, in Draenor then I would suggest a few things:

1) Use a fishing pole, gear with (+# Fishing), a lure, a few Captain Rumsey's Lager, and bait
-Reason: the higher the fishing skill the better the chance for you to catch Enormous grade fish
---Enormous fish count for achievements that unlock the lvl 3 fishing shack and ultimately Nat Pagle himself!
2) Grab a few Potions of Water Walking or your fishing raft. Unless your class has a water walking ability
-Reason: why try to find solid ground? Make your own!
3) Profit!

I noticed today that when I wet from one area, fishing for one type of fish with one type of bait, to another area fishing for fire ammonite with fire ammonite bait, two things happened:

I wasn't catching any more enormous fish, even with 975 fishing skill (with bonuses of course).
I wasn't getting a replacement bait nor was I catching the new fish (was only catching enormous crescent saberfish).

Unequiping gear and reequipping it seemed to fix the "enormous" problem, but it didn't fix the type of fish I was getting. I /reloaded ui, but that didn't seem to work. I finally logged out and back in and the first cast I got my bait and began catching enormous fire ammonite again. Not saying there is a problem, but try that if you notice this. This might not be only fire ammonite either.

Just to clarify the bait only "works" inside your garrison and the location it mentions, in this case Frostfire Ridge. However it does NOT work on any other map no matter your fishing skill. Doing the Draenor Angler still requires you to travel all around.

Quick Note: When using the bait inside of your garrison with a lvl 2 or lvl 1 fishing shack, you will not catch any enormous fire ammonite.

You will have to go outside of your garrison to catch them.

As another note:
I've seen people say you will not be able to get the bait you used from fishing while using the bait, this is incorrect, I've received the bait I've used while fishing.

I think the bait is bugged, haven't caught a single enormous ammonite in frostfire ridge, the schools still work tho

If ya doing the achievement "Draenor Angler" and looking for Enormous Fire Ammonite.
I did not need any bait, i found them in school's all over Frosfire Ridge in the lavapools.
