[Suggestion] New User Thread Creation Limit

So I'm honestly not sure how much extra work this would be for the admins, but would it be at all possible to look into possibly making it so that users under a certain amount of rep(150-200) could only make one topic per day? I only ask because the bot spammers lately have been insane. I mean, I love free rep as much as the next person, but it would be nice to not have to clean up the General forum every couple of hours and I'm sure it would take some work off the hands of the mods so that they can focus on legitimate reports.
Most brand new users who are here for the purpose of the forum usually don't create dozens of threads their first day.
Merely a suggestion, but hopefully one that is looked at.

The only downside to this would be that it would no longer be possible to clean up spam by yourself, as a single thread means you'd need 5 different people to report it before it gets hidden, resulting in spam staying up longer.
I actually like checking Wowhead, seeing lots of spam and knowing I'll be able to get rid of it by myself in around 10 seconds. It really frustrates me if a spammer posts less than 5 thread and I have to rely on someone else jumping in on the reports to get rid of the posts.
(No, this isn't because I want free reputation)

The spammers would probably then just fill up the topic itself; I've seen that happen before, and you can report those for spam to get rid of them faster.

Story of my life.
But yeah, I think this could be a good idea.

I'm certainly not against the idea though I have a feeling they could get around it too (account spam with multiple IP addresses). ;(

It's something I've brought up to Erorus this past weekend as well, after a conversation with Sas--I've noticed the increase and have been banning more people than usual myself. I can't give an ETA but we are working out the pros and cons to adding a feature like this.

That's cool Perc; long as it's being thought about.

So with the spammers starting to get 'intelligent' and now hitting multiple forums rather then just spamming up one particular one, is this still under consideration?
