Stormwind: Seige & Army

So i decided to do an old fashioned walk around Dtormwind earlier this week, I noticed one thing that really stood out to me, Where is the army of Stormwind?
Now whilst i acknowledge that a large portion of that army is spread across the two main continents quite heavily... i do not understand how Stormind has but a small portion of Guards and Royal Guards for people to see.
Not to mention seige, where are some tanks?
Orgrimmar seems to display these both quite well, and yes recently it has been even larger due to Garrosh but even before him they always had something lying about.
Ironforge has a few outfront, for obvious reasons of course, but am i to beleive stormwind has to wait for it's allies to show up if they need help? didn't they learn from the last time the city was uttterly destroyed... and surely now after deathwing they must think to themselves "hmm, perhaps more seige would be wise king varian?"
The only place i could trully imagine any being hidden would be the two barracks/posts in the middle of the canal, but then how does the army get across?
If anyone can shed some light on this that would be absolutely amazing!
Sorry about my punctuation and grammer in advance.

They're not there because they never thought of adding them, stormwind, and many other larger capitals are scaled down from their real size.
Heck, Orgrimmar used to be about the size of the current Goldshire in WCIII

Seems kind of odd to leave such a thing out, even an army of 20-30 would be a nice addition, Those of us who played earlier additions understand that not everything can be to scale (despite great protest!)

It is a bit of an loss not to see, but I think from what we've seen in outland, those tower-tank things are human in origin. (Refering to what looks like a actual castle tower with a massive cannon, can't seem to remember where). Perhaps their take on siege towers?
Of course, if that's the unofficial human "Siege" weapon it'd be impractical to have one around.
And of course, Stormwind is surounded in all dierections by "Allied" areas, other than the need for naval defense (Which they have, as we see in the harbor) there doesn't seem to be much threat of invasion.

There's only so much space they can create; all cities in game are far smaller then their lore counterparts.

I really want to know more about these Seige towers, where they when you first enter or a later area? I shall go looking.
Even with harboring allies i feel stormwind is still not 100% safe, Redridge mountain only recently had that whole blackrock orc invasion.

Bonechewer Scavenger
s are scattered around them.
They're about the size of a fel reaver.

And the Orcs were consistently pushed back. It's too hard to make it to Stormwind itself.
