Solution for Wowhead not fully displaying

Users from several countries recently have reported that Wowhead is not fully displaying. I've spoken with the devs and they've provided both a temporary solution for affected users. They also have a simple process in which users can provide them with some additional specifics which will greatly help them out.
Temporary solution: This will allow you to browse Wowhead normally.
1. Open up Notepad as an Administrator
2. Open %systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
3. Add and save the following lines to the host file:
50.22.23.4 wowjs.zamimg.com
50.22.23.4 wowcss.zamimg.com
This will work temporarily--but the information will be changing in two months as we migrate servers, so please remove those lines before then.
If you'd like to provide us with more details on the IP address of the Akamai edge server, and use Vista or Win 7, please do the following:
1. Go to Start menu and enter in "cmd" in the 'Search programs and files' input box.
2. Run 'nslookup wowjs.zamimg.com' and 'nslookup wowcss.zaming.com'
3. Please report what the text is after "Name:"

Perculia, please note that the only way I could see the contents of this post was to go into (Firefox) Page Info, delete all cookies for wowhead and reload the page. So there are probably quite a few people out there with no idea how to fix this. You may want to repost this info on a page without the usual formatting and scripts.
FYI, I was seeing no menus on the home page, no suggestions when typing in the search box and search results were empty. Most of the boxes and ads were displaying, but not content. I reached this page from a link in the Recent Forum Posts box, but the whole content box between "Post Reply" and "Return to board index" just wasn't there, until I deleted cookies.
Hope this helps.

Glad to hear it's working for you. The devs just finished deploying a manual fix, so hopefully from this point forward, all site display issues are resolved.
If someone is still having an issue as of 1 pm est, please report it and I'll pass it onto the devs asap so they can keep refining their solution. Thanks for your patience.(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##perculia##DELIM##

I started having this issue yesterday afternoon here at work I did the hosts file change and have no difference. My runs of nslookup are wowjs e6154.g.akamaiedge.net and same for wowcss.
My situation may be hampered by the proxy servers here at work as I do not have the issue on my home systems. I will check the work laptop at !round 2 am est when I get home and prep for standby.

Don't know if there was a fix pushed or the proxy got flushed, but I can now get in here at work!

A DNS problem? I would suggest using OpenDNS then;
https://store.opendns.com/setup/
(despite the "store" in the link, therer is not purchasing here, its just their guide to set-up the usage)

I'd adjust commands entered to
nslookup wowjs.zamimg.com.
nslookup wowcss.zaming.com.
Also, @perculia and other devs, when you know you would be changing DNS records, you can manually set your zone to a shorter update interval 2-3 days ahead of move. It'll surely increase load on your DNS servers, but othervise will allow smoother transfer.
