So, here we go, another poll that reaches back to when people were kids/young adults. I remember when the original MMPR first aired when I was about 10, and I've been a fan ever since. I also watched all but Mask Rider, as I think I just plain missed that one.
The Rangers have been one of my favorite shows for years, and I don't see it as a guilty pleasure....I don't go out of my way to mention that I own the series/watch them of course, but still.
As for the non-Ranger shows, Beetleborgs was my other favorite, with the other ghost with the most, Flabber, as my favorite character from that series.
As Power Rangers has been on the air for more then 18 years, I'd def consider it a blast from the past even if you started at one of the later series.
Edit: And there is actually a second part to this poll, that will be up at some point this week.

I watched Power Rangers up till Dino Thunder. I was also a huge fan of VR Troopers, I loved the car that could fly when they opened the doors :D

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers(Season 1-3)/Alien Rangers
I had a crush on Kimberly, I looked up to Tommy, and I liked Zorro or something. The bad alien guy in the moon.

I've never watched the show, but I've heard that the black guy is the black powerranger lol. That's totally not racist.

And the chinese girl is a yellow power ranger. Not racist one bit.

I am a little too old to have gotten into the Power Ranger thing. I did have younger siblings/cousins though. I remember the black ranger/yellow ranger thing. I don't know how that got past all of the people who make decisions, and ran for a season or two, before someone took a moment to go "Wait a minute...oh, sh***" and tried to fix it. What's funny, is that they fixed it by replacing those two power rangers with an Asian guy for the black ranger, and an African American woman for the yellow ranger. It was almost worse that their reaction was to hire different genders of the same ethnicities so that they no longer corresponded.

Every time I see these threads pop up I always think to myself "am I the only one who really didn't like/find entertaining x,y, and z?"
And then I realize yes, yes I am. It's weird because I haven't watched 90% of the shows Adamsm has listed in these threads, and yet I was the target demographic. Hmph.

Men in motorcycle helmets and foam suits using extreme body language to make up for the fact their facial expressions are entirely obscured by their visors. As a child, the entire premise of the show struck me as contrived and ludicrous. The execution was horrible, at best. It appealed to an audience that liked bright colors and tinny percussion/electric guitar heavy music. The plots were boiled down to a simple good guy/bad guy cookie cutter repeat.
When I was a pre teen I enjoyed thought provoking entertainment: Ann Rand, CS Lewis, Star Trek, etc.

Wasn't there one before these, called like Ultra Man or something?
Also, I remember flipping through the channels and coming across the credits for something called "Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters From Beverly Hills"....that was the point that I put down the remote and pickedup a video game controller, I think.

There are some things about "normal" that are just not compatible with me, and I'm very grateful for that. The list of things that are enjoyed by the masses, but despised by me are numerous.
There is an episode of South Park that describes me very well. My wife was laughing the entire time because it reminded her so much of me. The episode is in the current season "
You're Getting Old
".
