Fresh 110s should quickly hit the Broken Shore for quick 850 gear while acquiring world quest gear and artifact power. Start to hit up Mythic 0 dungeons and some lower level M+ dungeons while continuing your gearing process on the broken shore for 880 relinquished gear. Once you’re in the 880 range and higher levels of Artifact Power. Check the
Legion Gearing Before Raids

Thanks to Artifact Knowledge catch-up mechanisms added in 7.2, you'll be able to empower your artifact fairly quickly even if this is your first 110, acquiring the first three golden traits with little effort.
For Affliction Warlocks, the current recommended artifact path is this:

Artifact Research Compendium: Volumes I-V
over to your alt so they'll instantly hit AK 25. At AK 40 you can pick up a book for AK 40 on any character.
Don't forget to complete the Class Hall questline for the
third Artifact Relic
, which was nerfed in Patch 7.2 to have faster missions and fewer requirements. Acquiring the third relic will greatly increase the item level of your weapon and give you another free trait rank.
Here is the basic rotation that can be used in both the specs listed. Be sure to use
